That's probably because no religion has ever described something to you that you imagined is perfect ... except for pantheism. If you believe that the Universe is already perfect as it is, you are a naturalist and don't need religion. But many naturalists still desire to follow a religion...

I find Jesus' true understandings was that he believed that Scripture is: religious truth - John 17:17
This would explain why Jesus often prefaced his statements with the words, " It is written........"
Meaning already written down in the OT as his true understandings.
Thus, Jesus used logical reasoning on the OT as to what is more than a clue what God truly is and can do.
Jesus taught his God's name should be hallowed (held as sacred / sanctified)
Hallowed as found at - Psalms 83:18 KJV (Jehovah) and at www.jw.org.
So, the Bible explains about God, His name, and what God can do ( and will do - Revelation 22:2)

I respect this honesty.

My own stance is that there is no true core meaning of "god". There are various vaguely defined meanings, some of which are mutually exclusive.

Were it not for strongly enforced social taboos against honest discussion of those meanings, we would probably have developed more specific, less ambiguous terminology already.

No tv no phone no computers no radios no other transmitting technology.

Yet humans study said healthy biology is affected by any transmitter held constant.

Natural thinker about God is correct. Scientific Theists human storytellers are incorrect.

His power is quite evident judging by the universe alone. And, the power of love, especially over evil, elucidates the laws that God has instituted to govern mankind, and therefore the type of Being that He is - good and holy.

God is a religious concept. It generally means a being more powerful than human. Specific meaning depends on individual religion. For some religions gods are just manifestations of the ultimate reality.
