Thou art That
There is no 'Satan'. It's just your mind playing tricks on you, in the subject/object split of Supreme Good vs. Supreme Malevolence, personified. Once a concept of The Good has been created, a corresponding concept of Evil is also automatically created. Having created a concept of Evil, one must now oppose Evil, as dictated by The Good. In opposing Evil, one only makes Evil stronger. Therefore, Yeshua said:
"Resist not, Evil"
When you create ideas of Goodness, you must also create ideas of Evil to make Goodness appear as Good via contrast. Without Evil, Good cannot exist. But this is relative Good and Evil, in the moral sense. Ultimately, there is an Absolute Good which has no relative opposite, and which is beyond relative Good and Evil.
The corrupted story of The Fall was backwritten in Numbers to transform the innocent little serpent into Satan. Originally, the serpent was not an evil persona. The original story, before the one that has been handed to us, is that the god-head, after warning Adam and Eve about the 'Forbidden Fruit' and then goes away, then re-appears to them as a serpent to ensure that they eat of the Fruit. Why? Because the Fruit is a symbol of God-consciousness, and God wants his children to share in it with him.* This is his gift of unconditional love to his children. Divine Union achieved. Story end. But the priests twisted the story to frighten their congregations into forking over their cash to act as intermediaries between Heaven and man as a means of forgiveness of sin.
*Remember that the serpent told A & E that the reason God did not want them to eat of the Fruit was because they would then 'see as God sees', which is God, or Higher, Consciousness. IOW, God set up an irresistible piece de resistance to make sure they would partake of the Fruit. God knew they would not be able to resist the temptation to eat of it.
Buddhists call the corrupted Christian account 'the long way home'.
It should be remembered at all times that this story is an allegory, designed to teach a lesson, but one that can be actualized internally. We call this actualization 'Enlightenment', which is the realization that you are none other than That: The Supreme Identity; The Indestructible Sunyata.
