Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Never had a choice, I was just put here one day. Oh well.....
There is no purpose to it that I can figure out so be happy while it lasts because disaster can strike at any time. For example I drank the last of my beer yesterday and forgot to go to the bottle shop this morning

I believe the purpose is for the opportunity to decide whether or not to trust our Creator and receive His love, joy, peace now and for eternity.

If anything it's to learn about existence. Or it's a brute fact, and a fleeting journey that fades away which I don't necessarily believe but could be.
Existence may aim at knowing itself since beings are in an intelligible form with convenient functions that serve being well enough. Perhaps there's a language to how beings are made and the universe is just gathering input and producing output based on the information it receives in a feedback loop. I think of existence as an automaton with an ability to learn and adapt.
