I don't know where else to put this ... I was thinking possibly in the health forum but health and hygiene are not exactly the same...

But anyways... I have a secret to tell Religious Forums. I have a (un)healthy obsession with deodorant. I like trying every brand for at least a month or longer. Right now I'm using Harry's. Harry's is a men's deodorant that smells like nature. In some ways it smells similar to your own natural body odor. It's average priced and comes in aluminum and aluminum-free versions.

And about that... I don't see any difference in sweat protection between aluminum and aluminum free versions of deodorant. If it's 80F or above I will sweat either way. I'm currently using Harry's Redwood Extra Sweat Protection (20% aluminum) and I still sweat under my pits.

While I'm currently using Harry's, my current favorite deodorant brand is Old Spice. Generic Old Spice smells better than 80% of the other deodorants I've tried, but the cologne-tinted high-end Old Spice is by far the best deodorants I've ever smelled. When I use Old Spice Royalty I apply it as a deodorant and a cologne at the same time. I put it everywhere. It has a strong "drunken sailor" bourbon kind of scent. And I love it.

Deodorant is cheap. It lasts for two or three months and costs about five dollars. I can afford the nicer stuff, like the high-end Old Spice or Native. There is nothing special about Native that makes it worth the $13 cost, and Old Spice Royalty smells better, applies better and costs a third less than it.

So I bring it back to you. Do you use deodorant? If so what is your favorite deodorant brand? Which deodorant are you currently using? What do you think smells the best? Which does best to fight odor and sweat? Let us know what you think below.

I have to use unscented ones or they give me a rash. The only one I can get at the moment is Nivea sensitive protection for men.

(I tried ode de @Revoltingest but found it attracts flies)

I use mitchum. When i was a teen I'd stink often and my grandma figured using the men's version mitchum would fix that. It did and I've never bothered trying other brands cuz I just never saw the need to

Tom's of Maine is ok, and I'm currently using a brand called Humble (Frankincense/Palo Santo scent). But my favorite brand is Schmidt's

Afaik all three brands are aluminum free, and natural. Whereas Schmidt's guarantees it's also Vegan friendly and Cruelty free.

Cruelty free and no aluminum or anything that blocks your ability to sweat are important (to me). I don't use antiperspirant, only deodorant. I want to sweat, just not smell like onions.

Suave gel. It seems to be the only kind that both works and doesn't leave residue on my shirts.

Today I went shopping for deodorant... Oh boy.

I bought Every Man Jack Crimson Oak deodorant. I smelt every Every Man Jack variety and Crimson Oak smells the best to me. I saw that they had both regular and aluminum free Old Spice Royalty deodorants. I smelt both and I swear the regular smells much better. I bought another stick of regular Old Spice Royalty.

Together the Every Man Jack Crimson Oak and the Old Spice Royalty was $14... Ehhh but together both should last me 4-5 months.

I will admit right now that the Crimson Oak smells more like my natural body odor. Like Harry's Redwood. The Crimson Oak smells a little better than Redwood, which smells more like nature.

When it comes to shampoo/conditioner/face wash I use Ocean from Bath and Body Works. All the Bath and Body Works shampoo smells like cologne. Royalty smells like cologne. Even Crimson Oak smells a bit like cologne. Apparently Every Man Jack sells cologne too, even in their Crimson Oak scent.

I used to be this guy who thought, "one brand, one scent" with all hygiene products. I am now the exact opposite. I prefer combining scents now and having a smell unique to me.

I now have Dove Men, Degree, Speed Stick, Suave, Axe, Old Spice, Tom's, Native, Every Man Jack and Harry's.

This is starting to become an obsession...

Hey i see no problem with this as long as you don't spend money you dont have buying extra deodorant isn't an issue I don't think. Have fun.

I mean im obsessed with stuff animals and buy loads of them but as long as I don't buy any I can't afford that's not a bad thing. I don't see why your deodorant obsession is any different

I mentioned I use Earth Lab. You can buy it online and it has an unscented variant.
But it takes some getting used to a natural deo I guess.

I've changed deodorants recently. Actually, I decided to go all-in with Harry's products. Harry's supports the YouTube channels I watch and their products are competitively priced. Deodorant, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, razors and shaving gel. I ever got my razor, and razor stand, engraved with my initials "ETR" on them, for free, by paying for a yearly membership that is $15 a year and will save me 10% per order. Harry's has natural-type scents, and when I suggested that their shampoo products should mimic the scents of their other products, not only did they reply back to me right away but they even told me that is a good idea and they might do that soon. Harry's is a good company and I recommend them. If you spend $25 or more you get free shipping.

And I sound like an advertisement! :D
