I will watch them.
Advice:
- The Wire builds with each episode & season, increasing in scope & compelling interest. Remember this if a season seems to unfold slowly.
- Deadwood's rather Shakespearean language can be tough to understand. Persevere.....it's worth it.

Battlestar Galactica, the newer version. I watched it all on netflix and couldn't get enough. Too bad the writer's strike messed up some of the threads, but still just about as perfectly satisfying a series as you can get.

How I Met Your Mother. Silly 30 min increments of brain candy. Also watching on Netflix.

I've enjoyed Dexter (first 3 or 4 seasons, that's all Netflix had; such a loveable serial killer) and True Blood (stopped at 4th season; eye candy, primarily.)

Avatar: The Last Airbender, all 3 Aang seasons. Best cartoon series ever. Haven't watched any of the new ones.

CSI, original. This is what I'd watch during college since it was always on, perfect for random snatches of time between classes and drinking. Also, I still have a crush on Grissom.

Let's see, the first that came to mind when I saw the thread title was Battlestar Galactica. Others would have to be: Caprica, TrueBlood, Falling Skies, Merlin, Big Bang Theory, and Law & Order:SVU. I'm sure I'm missing some really good ones there, but those were the ones that sprung to mind.

Ooh, I have been wanting to watch Falling Skies. Been waiting for Netflix to get it (I really don't know how people manage to watch tv without netflix... I don't understand the timing and organization required to be in front of a tv at a specific time :p).

I don't watch much TV, so when I do, I don't like to waste my time on things I know I'm not going to like. Back when I was into watching TV all the time, I really got into crime-dramas, like all the CSI's and Law & Orders (except Trial by Jury, which was terrible). Now, there's only a handful of shows that I'll watch at all:

-House (up until season 5, where it sadly started to go downhill)
-NCIS
-Leverage
-Big Bang Theory

I also used to be a big fan of Japanese Anime, like DBZ, Bleach, Death Note, Inuyasha, Elven Lied, etc., but I don't really have the time to watch those anymore. I used to love about anything on The History Channel, until they got all...weird. But I can basically go all day without turning the TV on, if it weren't for the wife and kids.

I don't have HBO, but watch TrueBlood. I might be busy on Sunday night, but I still see Falling Skies. And I don't have netflix. :p Some networks carry their shows online, at least the last so many episodes of them. For others...well, there are ways.
