Used to drive a Volkswagen, which i liked. Now i am thinking about buying a Toyota. My father used to have a Toyota Avensis himself and he always talked positively about it.

Jeep. I've had three Jeep Wranglers in a row now and have a hard time thinking of myself in anything else. It's a combination of the 4WD, which I need in the snowy Northeast United States, and the soft top convertable which is super fun in the summer.

Pretty damn reliable too, I must say. I haven't had many serious problems with my Jeeps.

I like Dodge/Plymouth. For imports I go with Mitsubishi. In fact, the reason I first liked Mitsubishi is because when a jerk so-called friend of mine borrowed and wrecked my Plymouth pick up and completely smashed the front, even though the radiator was pushed back against the engine and everything under the hood became a compacted mess the engine still worked. Actually, it was towed from the wreck to my drive and sat for 2wks until I sold it for parts to another friend who had a Dodge D-50 and he got in it, started it up first try and drove it off. The engine was Mitsubishi made. I figured any engine that could survive that was quite well made.

Ford.
I have no good reason for preferring it.
And I've had problems with the Fords I've owned.
I buy other brands too.
Maybe Toyota is my other favorite.
But they didn't make a truck capable of towing my trailers.

Toyota. I've found them to be very dependable, and very comfortable.
Yeah thats also a reason for why i want to have a toyota. With the Volkswagen one always has to change something every 2 years, such as brakes, wheels or other parts when doing the technical inspection. also it always has problems with the dashboard.
My father never had to do these things with his toyota but he crashed it after having driven it for 10 or so years. I didnt like his car though because it had automatic transmission. I prefer the manual one myself.

Mitsubishi.
The best car is ever had was a EXPO.
It could take a full size washing machine and drive interstate at 30+ mpg. It never broke, except once when the computer died and once when I didn't start it for six weeks in the winter.
RIP my burro...

I am very sorry that I sold it. It was a solid vehicle, well designed and well made.

I've been lucky with cars. I've owned a Toyota, a Mitsubishi, a Nissan, a Honda and now a Hyundai, and none have caused me too many issues. My wife had a Holden (GM) which was hot garbage in terms of engine build quality.

I'll say the Honda was best, since my mechanic seemed to have wet dreams over the engine quality, and the transmission was a 6 speed manual before they were common, and was great, even as it aged. Still, it was the most expensive of those cars too, so...ya know...it should be the best quality.

Volvo, but I never owned one since I only buy American brands-- mostly Ford. Hey, I spend most of my year in the Detroit area so what do ya expect, eh?

My car. 2002 Mercury Cougar. Just because it's my car, it's paid off, and I know it fairly well inside and out.
I also like Porsche, well enough to take time from my day to correct people who don't pronounce it correctly.
