What Isn't God?

What isn't God? Why or why not?
Beats me? "God" is the whole enchilada, imo. What part of "All That Is" don't people get? For the record that includes "All that is not" and all probable permutations thereof. Though, in light of this, I am perplexed why people think "god" is a singular entity that is self aware. That, imo, is pushing things a tad.

There isn't anything that isn't. All is. Call "is" any which way - call it God. What isn't God?

I have a huge problem with this. That is, I am not god, and you are not god. If all is god then we must be part of god, consciousness is a defining aspect of life, if we are conscious and we are part of god, then we make up as a collective either part or all of gods consciousness. So, even if some entity existed and all of life made up its collective conscousness, I would never consider myself or any other form of life a god so why would such an entity deserve the label "god". What is special about it that sets it apart from everything else that exists that it should be called god when existence more accurately describes all that is. Why go the extra step and call it god.

Why is this in political debates? In a way, it's supremely appropriate, but on the other hand, most people, still in the grip of modernist fantasies, would insist that this is a strictly religious question. Just askin'.

According to certain definitions of God (and notably, you did use the upper-case, singular version), there are many things that are not God.

You can always define God as being everything, though, in which case, by definition nothing is not God.

So, as with many things on this forum, it all depends upon the definition.

Everything except God.

To me, God is a character in a book. Like Gandalf. So the answer to this question of "What isn't God?" would be very similar to the answer to "What isn't Gandalf?" God is God. Gandalf is Gandalf. Everything else is whatever everything else is. A leaf isn't God or Gandalf. Baggins isn't God or Gandalf, but he knows Gandalf. I am not God or Gandalf. Yoda isn't God or Gandalf. A car isn't God or Gandalf. Only God is God, just like only Gandalf is Gandalf.
