I know a number of people......well, knew one....who've driven 160 to 170 mph on the highways here (motorcycles).
This is a very very bad idea.

I would love to be able to boast that I was a 170mph crazy, but in fact I got nicked for doing 41mph in a 30 limit on a Vespa motor-scooter!
And the fastest machines back then were Bonnevilles and Lightnings..... maybe 110mph, flat-out, downhill, with the wind, with a Peel fairing!
