Oh you meanie.......I was going to say the internet.

I was looking for some sort of religious forum; I had just come across the BBC one which is pretty drab http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/programmes/heavenandearth/ (there is a forum offshoot), and for some reason found this one........lucky me!

I've just seen the poll now and I went for "to enrich my spirituality"; I have had no one to talk to about religion for at least 20 years, it is a big part of my life, one day I felt so 'lonely' in what I thought that I looked on the internet..


But that's the past now.

I mainly wanted to meet other people of similar beliefs but in an enviroment which was not soley filled by them. I do not know any other Wiccans personally nor have I ever met one in the last 5 years knowingly. I only find people who could not care less or who mock or hate my religion, neither of which is useful to me.

Also I was looking for a place which was similar to a board I used to post on a long time ago since I loved the atmosphere on it and the sense of community. Looks like RF is just perfect for me .

I am a member on another board and at 27 I'm one of the oldest (if not the oldest) members there. I tend to share a lot of the same interests as them but I also look for something a little more thought provoking with more 'civil' conversation. I wanted a place that had this and also wouldn't mind being silly. I just lucked upon RF I guess and after watching for a couple of days here i am.

I think I was looking for some misguided site about Paganism, to email them and enlighten them. I know it doesn't work, but it was late, I was tired, and I had nothing better to do. I stumbled up this site, I liked it, signed up for it, bookmarked it, and have visited almost everyday since.

I was just interested in finding a site where I could talk to people about my religion. I was getting tired of the misconceptions about most people in my faith, and the focus on those of my faith who go out of their way to make the rest of us look bad. I was hoping to talk to others and maybe convince them that we are not as bad as what the loudest ones of us lead others to believe.

What kept me here? Lively conversation/debate (both the serious and silly), the people, and the fact that the conversation revolved around more than drooling over celebrities.

I came here through Google but Rex and MICH were good people and there are lots of cool people here that I still talk to.
