What lessons do we learn from the Biblical account of Samson?

Often said that there are sin cycles in the book of Judges where
the people were safe in the land, fell into sin, God sent oppressors, they cried out, God sent deliverance and it all started over and over again... But in the final account no one cried out and God sent Samson anyway. A deeper picture of grace?

The people seemed resigned to serve the Philistines, blind to their idols and Samson was blinded by his idol, Delilah. Poster child for the nation?

God said he would 'begin to deliver Israel' through Samson... but how long might that be?
and how odd and unexpected, through someone who kept falling in love with Philistines ?

Interesting response, Neo Deist

Samson had a riddle and Samson was a riddle.
Out of the strong came something sweet
and what is stronger than a lion or sweeter than honey was the answer
but we might add death is stronger than a lion but Jesus conquered death and His word sweeter then honey

I did see the play at the 'Sight and Sound theater today' and highly recommend it

I also saw on TV today coverage of an Olympian from Ethiopia said to be from the long lost tribe of Dan, if true the tribe the strong man of Dan (Samson) was from and the Olympian went from Ethiopia to Israel
