What makes you Evil and why it's required.

We all identify Evil within ourselves differently, what makes "you" Evil? Most cultures and religious social groups define us as "Evil" because we are LHP Initiates... ignorant to our definition and what it means to us as Setians.

I, myself, am beyond the concepts of good and evil as an objective thing. Rather I view it at this time as only logically seeing them as terms that subjectively convey the individuals view of the particular subject (ie: evil going against the thing, good being supportive/in-line with it). In the mundane sense, I guess "Evil" would suffice for many to describe many of us as much of the Setian philosophy has a good dose of antinomianism and a philosophy/practice grounded in a new current, outside of the current majority of thinking (Judeo-Christian, Abrahamic), etc which pushes the boundaries of many peoples current approach and view of good/evil within their respective faiths and how they will then label the LHP Magician. It was my understanding that the Temple's Work was beyond the good/evil dichotomyand level of thinking, and thankfully so. :yes:

In Dr. Aquino's 'Diabolicon', Evil is defined as "human denial of personal responsibilty for moral decisions, as well as hypocrisy in the executing of such moral decisions as were ventured."

I believe it was Blavatsky who was [ir]responsible for aligning 'good' & 'evil' with RHP & LHP respectively.

The TOS as I understand it, does not equate the LHP with Evil nor Good but rather as a Path to knowledge and power.

"Evil" is a misused term on the LHP. Mostly because it is a moral word that is defined by the individual. It is not an objective term and I prefer to use the term "Power" in it's place. Those who have power are feared by others. Sometimes they are even called evil because they hold the power, but it's the power that has to come first, not the evil.

Yes, evil is something which White Light religions term us on the Left. When in fact there is no such label, from an objective stance, as Magister Adams points out.

Evil, from a moral stance, requires an imagination. It is in it's own realm and is very much alive today. Good and Evil is indigenous to the human specie alone.

But what the LHP is, is not Evil. We strive to seek the good from all perspectives. I've herd it being called "seeking the agathon" seeking the good, and to know and understand the good.

I don't adhere to anyone's taboos.
(be they RHP or LHP)
I don't allow the world,
and people to have a "hold" on me.
(my thoughts, doings, or beings)

I won't turn the other cheek,
or a blind eye
to, or for anybody.

especially those whose ignorance or purposefulness
breaches my own sacred space
and (even inadvertently) threatens to become
a real and actualized problem or nuisance to me personally.

I will KINDLY LBM ordinaries... RHPers
who will never understand me,
never seek to understand me,
never respect me...
if I allow them to see me through their own lense
of doctrine, taboo, and "mass directed thought".

I will direct HOW those people see me, yes.
For and to my own benefit.
there really is little other choice.

But people of the LHP,
who LBM me, and **** with me,
honestly, I have FAR LESS compassion and respect for.
The ones who should know who I am,
and blatantly disrespect me,
try to make me 'behave' like one of the sheeple.

That, is a breach of THEIR OWN power.
I needn't do anything.
Just sit back and watch.

They have set the flow of THEIR OWN power in motion
themselves.

People may hate me (think I'm evil) because I'm Bisexual,
Polyamorous, Because I treasure my Tarot cards,
Because a Satanic bible sits beside my Xian one,
Because I call mySelf Goddess, Sourceress, and Maga.

But what i find most obnoxious of all is judgementalism,
and hypocracy.

Does that make me like jesus?

Another way to examine 'good & evil' is from the Hermetic stance, that they are one in the same, two polar opposites of the same thing. Would this 'same thing' happen to be the 'Power' Magister Adams mentioned?

I pretty much agree with what has already been said. I don't believe in good or evil as an objective absolute. If people were to describe me as evil, it would be for their own subjective reasons.

*Edit* damn, just realised this was in the Setian DIR, my apologies.
