What makes your religion the greatest of all?

Well, I am a Hindu Vaishnava and i don't think any religion can be significantly different from the others. Yes, there may be some highs and lows. As for my religion, as far as i know, we don't touch any animals soul for eating or for sacrificing. All you got to do is just show your love through your deeds.

I voted for Atheism, even though it isn't a religion.

There is no best religion though.

Atheism is the best for me though, because it's what I believe. I'm not going to list reasons why it is better than other religions though... I think most people know why someone would be atheist, and if they don't, they can look it up online. I don't want to start any sort of debate, and I won't.

A "Best Religion" is a pretty big claim. Probably pretty subjective, too. Unless someone's got some proof that their God is the true God, and their religion hasn't been distorted.

Anyway, my religion isn't listen on the poll and although the cloest thing is Wicca, I REFUSE to vote for it. I'd say my religion is best because it allows me to become a god in my right as apposed to groveling at one's feet for eternity.

For one, you left out Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Satanism, Taoism and countless other possibilities (and not even "other" as a choice). Two, Wicca and witchcraft aren't synonyms. And third, no one is going to say any other religion than their own is the "greatest".

it really is odd not to include one of the main world religions

especially since Islam would easily come within the top 3 "best religion"
for practical reasons if nothing else

number 2 would be Zoroastrism
"praise good thoughts, good deeds and good actions"
it is hard to beat that

number 1 would have to be Buddhism
which Buddhism is problematic
it could be Zen, but Zen lacks the ability or indeed the need to move large numbers of people, several thousand yes, but not populations of millions
perhaps an average choice out of all the Mahayana schools


it would be helpful if there was some criteria layed out in the OP by which to evaluate religions

Not going to criticize you my brother for the poll don't know if 5 selections are the limit or not but you missed a few.

Anyway,

I have the best religion in my opinion by not having a religion. I believe in God and I feel Gods spirit which is hard to explain because the feeling is within. By having no religion you are more open minded less likely to become angry over another persons views. No religion also means I can go to any church, listen to many interpretations, study without bias, lean without fear, and love without discrimination. Can your religion say that? For me my prayer is that one day we will not need religion at all in the world that one day all people may have a clear understanding of God and love which should provide the world with peace. Religion creates turmoil, conflict, war and yes even discrimination. These things are not apart of my religion of none. A religion of none also is nice because the entire would then is my church and all her people are my congregation to lean from and to even teach. It's a lot easier to speak to someone about the bible and show people truths when you belong to a religion of none people are more open to listen to you and to really meditate on what you say. When you start speaking to people and your from a specific religion a lot of times the person being approached has already put up a guard against you due to preconceived ideas of the religion you come from. Therefore even if you have something good to say or a truth to revile they may not really hear you due to this preconceived notion in there mind about the "religion" you come from. So I have a religion of none and I think it is a beautiful religion.
