Sometimes when I listen to certain music I feel a sort of spiritual mood come over me. Meditative prayerful sort of mood really. I was just wondering what kind of music puts you in that sort of mood?
Here are a few of mine.

Arabic Orthodox Chant احمدوا الرب - YouTube

Green Tara Mantra (108 Repetitions)

And some are bit more active. Like they make me want to take part in some loud ritual.

Yog-Sothoth by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - YouTube

Nyarlathotep

Sabaton-The Last Stand (Lyrics) (Music Video)

Tonight We Dine in Odin's Hall!

Alright now that I have shared 11 links maybe you can share some of yours.

Hey @1137 Get over here and share some spoopy seitan music.
I'm no Setian, but maybe I can help out with that as well.

Might be cliche, but first and foremost black metal.

Be it about the wonders of the endless universe:

Or a demonic invocation:
(the song I meant starts at 31:46, but you can count the whole album)

Or about the mysteries of time itself:
Admittedly, a bit too trippy and philosophical for simple meditating)

The Kilted Heathen

Crow FreyjasmaðR
Wardruna. It's actually a little dangerous for me to listen to them while driving, because some songs will put me towards a trance.

Not this one, though.

Svarte skyar rir i meg (Dark clouds drift within)
Lengten lokkar, hugen dreg (The longing lures, pulls my mind)
Ber du meg? (Will you carry me?)
Vil i veg (I want to go)

Fager fole byr eg deg (Fair foal, I bid you)
(Stormen stilnar, hugen fer (The storm is stilled, the mind it flies))
Sekkar aud tå åkergull (Sacks rich with gold of the fields)
(Hovslagtromma takten slær (The drum of hoofs lay the beat))
Fara svint med flyg-før hov (Fare swiftly on flying hoofs)
(Hjartet fylgjer, tveim blir ein (The heart, it follows, two are one))
Ber du meg, eg lovar deg (Carry me, and I promise you)
(Rir meg fri med raske bein (Sets me loose with speedy feet))
Ri ut (Ride out)
Raido

Stormen stilnar, hugen fer (The storm is stilled, the mind it flies)
Hovslagtromma takten slær (The drum of hoofs lay the beat)
Hjartet fylgjer, tveim blir ein (The heart, it follows, two are one)
Rir meg fri med raske bein (Sets me loose with speedy feet)
Ridande (Riding)
Raido

Vilt eg rei og rende (Wild I rode and ran)
Fager fole sprengde (Fair foal I spent)
Reiden er for drosul verst (The ride is for the horse the worse)
Saelt og snar for sitjande (Pleasant and swift for the sitting)
Raido
Raido

Rir eg deg (If I ride you)
Så rir eg meir (I ride more)
For ein er to (As one is to)
Der knutar knytast (Where knots are tied)
I byrd er bunde (In bonds are bound)
Heile verda (The whole world)
Om eg bind deg (If I bond you)
Kan eg ferde (I can journey)

Ber du meg (If you carry me)
Så ber du meir (You carry more)
Når to vert ein (As one is two)
Der lenkjer smiast (Where chains are forged)
I byrd er bunde (In bonds are bound)
Heile verda (The whole world)
Om du bind meg (If you bond me)
Kan du ferde (You can journey)

These songs are pretty great.

"life is a waterfall, your one in the river then one again after the fall"

"this body holding me reminds me of my own mortality, embrace this moment remember, we are eternal all this pain is an illusion"

and this one from Ozzy

Flame

Beware

Really any Lakota songs that my grandmother use to play while when we were kids over at her place puts me in a spiritual mood.

When I explored Islam as a potential religion to follow, I fell in love completely with Sufism, and the mystical music behind it.

Even though I'm following Christianity now, I find myself drawn still to that music when I meditate. I also like some Christian music, but I find when it comes to getting quiet with prayer/meditation, Indian and Arabic meditation music brings me to a different level.

I'm surprised no one has put Behemoth on here.
They are good, no question, but I tend to put a lot of value on the lyrics, and Behemoth consists of Thelemites. Therefore I often have trouble getting all (or even most) references on some of the more philosophical texts.

Admittedly, of those bands I linked also not all are of exactly the same religion as I (Inquisition and Abigor are close, but Shaarimoth are Gnostics of the anti-cosmic variety which I take inspiration from but don't subscribe to). And I also can get all religious from songs of completely other paths. But well, therefore Behemoth wasn't exactly what I thought of first.

Right, they're just the darkest Metal Band I know of with a religious twist. If you want to call them religious.

Dimmu Borgir is a Satanic band (and not in a theatrical sense, like Cradle of Filth did for a time), I'm just not sure what kind of Satanic.

I was at my cousin's memorial last Saturday.. She had led a full life and was ninety six years of age... A few years back she helped me construct a genealogy chart of our family going back to the 1840's. Any way... I was raised in the very Baptist church where we had the memorial and hymn singing was a big part of my introduction to music.. Two hymns stood out in the program... "Nearer My God to Thee" and "How great Thou art" Both of these hymns struck chords in my heart from singing them in my youth... Have you ever kind of choked up while singing a hymn? That's how I felt.
