To times in your life?

Time of Your Life (Green Day) - Takes me back to junior high and spending time with my friend who was (and still is) an uber-Green Day fan.

How You Remind Me (Nickelback) - This song gives me shivers and this feeling in my stomach I can't get rid of. Just reminds me of my junior year of high school and the 'things' that went on. Skipping school, marching band bus rides, dressing like a ****.

Yesterday (The Beatles) - Every time I hear this song, I cry or get a bit choked up. It's a bit silly to, because this is the song that was playing when my husband proposed to me. :)

Kiss Me (Sixpence None The Richer ) - My 'second moms' wedding reception. This was the song she danced to with her new husband.

Sail Away (Enya) - Me and my dad. I would give him backrubs to pay of my high school debts (borrowing for colorguard) and my dad and I both enjoy Enya, so we'd always have it on.

Kiss The Girl (Little Mermaid) - Reminds me of this time this guy I liked came over to our house and I wanted him to kiss me, so I so not-so-subtley put this song when I thought he was coming over, but he never came.

Sexi Plexi (Jack Johnson) - This is a song I listened to a lot when me and my husband were dating. Just reminds me of all the fun times we have and had.

I've got to think about this a little too. Maybe by the morning I can narrow down my choices.

You don't have to narrow down any. :p I'm adding as I remember the songs.

Any song from Pearl Jam, Nirvana, or Metallica bring me back to my teenage years. I never think about anything in particular, but I start to realize that it was quite some time ago even though it seems like yesterday. Time flies.

Blues Traveler's "Canadian Rose" reminds me so much of driving around little NH towns in the fall with my mom and sibs, staying in little motels. we'd drive up to visit the cemetary our father's in. so it was sad, but also oddly joyous. we were together, running around in the leaves, and coming back to a place we knew.

anything by The Beastie Boys reminds me of junior high. :D

Oh crap! I haven't heard that song or seen that video in forever! I LOVED that song! Thanks Mel!

Right off the top of my head the only song I can remember that brings back tearful memories is "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Ugh....I can't go into details because they are too personal but hearing that song used to tear me up. I rarely hear it anymore but when it comes on I'm quick to turn the channel unless I'm in the mood for blubbering.

It's Not Over by Face to Face and Sidekick by Rancid bring me back to the last year I spent in highschool before I started touring. We had a video year book that year and the students were given the choice of what songs to have played on it. Tara and I fought and fought for months to get them to agree to have those two songs played on it, because the majority of the school listened to rap and we knew they wouldn't play any punk. So finally we convinced them to play those two songs. And ONLY those two songs, on it. The rest of the thing is filled with rap and hip hop. So everytime I hear either one of them, I get an immediate flashback to that damn video year book.

White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane is another that takes me back to before I started touring. I remember sitting in this park behind the local mall with a group of people. We'd skip school everyday, go to Mall Park, drink some beers, smoke some joints and someone would always happen to bring a guitar and that song would ALWAYS get played. Me and Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin too.

Anything by Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Sound Garden bring me back to when I was 13, drinking at this place we called The Rocks, with all the older kids.

Listening to Operation Ivy brings me back to when I was 16 and heading out on my first tour. The singer of the band I was with would let us listen to nothing else all the way from Montreal to BC.
