What is that intrinsic meaning?

That's a great question which teeters on the edge of being ineffable. What eventually came to me is something Meher Baba indicated:

To penetrate into the essence of all being and significance and to release the fragrance of that inner attainment for the guidance and benefit of others— by expressing in the world of forms, truth, love, purity, and beauty—this is the sole game which has intrinsic and absolute worth. All other happenings, incidents and attainments in themselves can have no lasting importance.

Knowing the truth is all around and inside of me, even if I don't understand it yet. I'll always have a part to play that will never disappear.

The reality that since I’ve made all the necessary sacrifices, if anything bad happens to me, it will be a judgment on God, so I’m truly protected at the highest level.

There would be No point to religion if there was Not going to be a resurrection - Acts 24:15

I have always found Jesus's parable of the pregnant woman in the Johannine farewell discourse very reassuring:

Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy. 21When a woman is in labour, she has pain, because her hour has come. But when her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy of having brought a human being into the world. 22So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you

My view of the world is not very promising so I'll skip that.
What brings me comfort is that my children seem to be heading in the right direction and that i am alive to see them... Given that there were several times that i may not have been.

Surely you mean Christianity.

Also, what Acts 24:15 really says: "and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked."
