What religion is the one true religion?

LOL....the debate has raged for centuries.....no one has been able to ascertain what true religion is anyway....what is true for one is not true for others. Some can call themselves member of a certain religion and then shoot it down with everything they say. Doubts seems to hover over all of them....but if there is one true God, then he has to have the only true religion.......right? So, how would he let us know?

The one true religion for me is the one Jesus taught.....its the one that has stuck by those teachings without adding or subtracting anything for the last 2,000 years. Find that one and you will have found the one that Jesus has supported to this day.

"Wheat and weeds" are in the world....so we need to be able to identify the "weeds" and join the "wheat" before the "harvest time". (Matthew 13:24-30; 36-42) o_O
So you think no humans can be sure about what religion is the one true religion?

I understand it as Acts 20:21 puts it, “ repentance toward God , and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
How did you came to the conclusion that christianity is the one true religion?

True religion. :)

A true religion is what you are bound to. To most of the world, its "ego/desire".
So you do not believe only one religion is the truth? Do you believe many religions have divine orgin? Or that many religions have some truth?

It's funny, I never really think of religion in terms of 'bound to', but moreso around the practising of it.

God is not a religion. Islam (in various forms) is.
Ego or desire are not religions, but subverting our actions to them can make them so.

Not substantially different from what you've said, but a slight tweak to it, perhaps.

All roads lead to Rome.
Or away from Rome.
I disagree. I believe many roads lead to Rome, but not all roads lead to Rome. Only loving and kind roads lead to Rome.

The absolute truth is the one true religion:)
If there is only truth within a person, and only truth in their action and thoughts then they hold the one truth religion
What is the absolute truth? What is the only truth within a person and only truth in their actions and thoughts?

It would be better to join the wheat I think.
Don't post things when you are in a hurry....:p (fixed, thank you)

Is it true that the wheat has been around for only about 150 years?
Jesus was to return and gather his anointed at "the end of the age", so when exactly was that to be expected?
The prophesies in Daniel point to our time....."the time of the end". Only at this time was God going to 'cleanse, whiten and refine' a people to whom he would give insight and understanding....and an abundance of knowledge. (Daniel 12:4; 9-10) We believe that Christ returned in 1914 (according to Daniel's prophesy) and that the multi-faceted "sign" that Jesus gave to indicate his "presence" (parousia) began with the "First World War" in human history....followed by other features of the sign up to the present day. (Matthew 24, Luke 21) These included pestilences.

Is it true that the wheat and the weeds would be in the church until the harvest time when the angels would do the separating? Matt 13:30
No. The "wheat and the weeds" were to "grow together" in the "world", not the church.
When Jesus comes to judge mankind, he will say to those who claim him as their "Lord"..."I never knew you, get away from me you workers of lawlessness". (Matthew 7:21-23)
If Jesus NEVER knew these ones, then they were not part of his church...ever. They were weeds from when the devil first sowed them...."while men were sleeping".

1 Peter 4:16-19...
"But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but let him keep on glorifying God while bearing this name. 17 For it is the appointed time for the judgment to start with the house of God. Now if it starts first with us, what will the outcome be for those who are not obedient to the good news of God? 18 And if the righteous man is being saved with difficulty, what will happen to the ungodly man and the sinner?19 So, then, let those who are suffering in harmony with the will of God keep on entrusting themselves to a faithful Creator while they are doing good."

The maligned and persecuted "wheat" will in no way resemble the "weeds" at the "harvest time". Their separation would be complete by the time the reapers arrived.

No, I actually think that true Christians know who they are.....but the Bible indicates that many would be following a delusion because of not having a love for the truth, preferring instead unrighteous things. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
There is a difference I believe, in knowing that one is a Christian, and merely believing that one is.

What is the absolute truth?

I do not think we can know the absolute.

This is a thought from the Baha'i Writings.

"The fundamental principle enunciated by Bahá’u’lláh … is that religious truth is not absolute but relative, that Divine Revelation is a continuous and progressive process, that all the great religions of the world are divine in origin, that their basic principles are in complete harmony, that their aims and purposes are one and the same, that their teachings are but facets of one truth, that their functions are complementary, that they differ only in the nonessential aspects of their doctrines, and that their missions represent successive stages in the spiritual evolution of human society…."

So truth is relative to our nature and nurture and our understandings.
