What religion is the one true religion?

All of them are true.
It is impossible for all the different religions to be correct.
But it *is* possible for all of them to be wrong. I believe this to be the case.

I have yet to see a mountain at all.

Not one of them is more valid than the other. None of them are invalid. And not all of them are "wrong". Because the concept of "the one true religion" is seriously flawed. Because there is no criteria for establishing what would be true or false.
Therefore, they can all be true, correct, etc. Just as the lack of religion is fine as well.
False dichotomies wreck much havoc.

The mountain is a metaphor. All religions seek the same goal; closeness with the divine, the "summit" of the "mountain". Some people don't want to go mountain climbing, and find the summit no different than the base. (Atheism, non-religious folk, etc). Most think their path is the best path, and some even insist on that it's the only path. But that certainly doesn't make it so.
I understand it to be a metaphor. And, again, it isn't just that I don't want to climb a mountain. It is that the mountain (closeness with the divine) doesn't seem to be there at all.

Religion (the mountain) most certainly exists. This cannot be rationally denied, regardless of what you believe or don't believe of the goal. That said, your view that closeness with the divine doesn't exist or doesn't seem to be there largely depends on your view of what the Divine is, juxtaposed with what the people worshiping it view it as.

Yes, there is. If a religion is from God, then it is true. All that is left is to prove it to be from God.
People who know their religion is false and just for play, don't care and say, "all religions are true/equal."
Religions exist, clearly. The question is whether 'closeness with the divine' exists. For *that* to exist, there has to *be* a divine. I don't think there is.
And there is no criterion to determine if something is from God or not.
