My bucket list includes a picnic in a bamboo forest, in Japan, during the springtime. When all the trees in Japan are in blossom.
Oh, I would love that!My bucket list includes a picnic in a bamboo forest, in Japan, during the springtime. When all the trees in Japan are in blossom.
Romanticism. What religion would you convert to if you were forced to convert to a religion you do not belong to?
Unfortunately not. However now I am going to look for it on the web!Remember the tv series "Shogun"? I really loved that.
Zoroastrianism ? Blessed Be .. Ahura Mazda .. what is not to love about a God named after a Sports CarWhat religion would you convert to if you were forced to convert to a religion you do not belong to?
Any of them but there are some things I could not in good conscience do as in sacrifice a baby or take advantage of the temple virgins. Of course it would only be a lie. In my heart I would still be a Christian. Sometimes that doesn't work. Jews were forced to become Christians in Spain but then were accused of being secretly Jewish. What religion would you convert to if you were forced to convert to a religion you do not belong to?
I once asked a Russian with a Jewish background if he observed his religion. He said no that the state had drilled atheism into him as a youth.Well, in communist countries, like where I was born, people were forced to deconvert from their religions to become members of the so-called "red religion"... without success. Atheists want to do something similar on internet and other real institutions using emotional manipulation and other kinds of psychological and even economic pressure against believers... They will surely not succeed either.
Believing in the Creator is as natural as the fact that we all have human father and mother. ... although rebellious children will continue to exist for now.
I believe actually choosing Christianity is choosing death of the sinful self and new life in Jesus.Suppose an all powerful alien force came along and looked at our planet for a day or so only to conclude that religion is the main factor we're so messed up, and makes that ultimatum ... everyone has to change their religion, mix things up a little. (I was trying to think of any possible scenario where the hypothetical position put forth in the OP could happen. Not easy with such stuff.)
I'd first ask for clarification, whether or not my religion was considered as one, or many, as it's so incredibly diverse. Depending on the clarification, I'd choose another sect of Hinduism, most likely shaktism, or Buddhism. If I was asked to go to an Abrahamic religion, I'd choose death, fully believing I'd reincarnate anyway.
One which included nil commitment or attendance. What religion would you convert to if you were forced to convert to a religion you do not belong to?

The one good thing about soviet Russia.I once asked a Russian with a Jewish background if he observed his religion. He said no that the state had drilled atheism into him as a youth.

Is there a religion that has a creator entity that started the Cosmos rolling with a big bang and then stepped away to do something else and never came back? I would convert to that religion if forced.
This is more a movement and less a religion.Romanticism.
You are correct. Brahma is considered the creator god in the Trimurti. To my knowledge, Brahma does not intervene in the world past creating and is not worshipped devotionally as Vishnu and Shiva are.I think some branches of Hinduism believe in a creator God that doesn't intervene in the world. I'm not very knowledgeable about Hinduism though so other members might be able to correct me on that.
Did he mention whether he considered himself a member of the Jewish People and/or of Judaism, though?I once asked a Russian with a Jewish background if he observed his religion. He said no that the state had drilled atheism into him as a youth.
Que?
A philosophical approach. Far more rational. This is more a movement and less a religion.
