When reading the many Religious Scriptures of the world, it soon becomes apparent that many tell of a day that will be the end of the world as we know it. At the same time, they also say that there will be a day where earth will reflect what I see in the Bible is called the Kingdom of God on earth.
Thus this thread is exploring what scriptures may have said about a future and what we may expect if those scriptures unfold. If you have no faith, it can explore where you think the world will head.
The Baha'i Writings support the warnings given in previous scriptures and at the same time they give a vision of what the future will hold for humanity. If I was to sum very basically what is offered then it would be now for a catastrophe followed by a new civilization built on unity which then releases our great scientific potential.
From what I can see there will be another conflict, a conflict to end them all in the form of a world civil war. After this conflict a world governing body will be established and wars will cease. The money now being expended for destruction and war will be used for education and science. This will open the door so a method can be discovered for interplanetary communication, even interplanetary conferences. The time will come when people will cross the entire nation in one hour and eventually beyond the continent into interplanetary travel. The cycle of six thousand years of city building has come to an end, and there will has become like the ancient city of Babylon, and it will not survive the conflict.
So from your scriptures, what have you got to offer about what we may soon face?
What will become of earth and the evolution of Humanity as a whole?

From my side, I will post information about what the future may hold ,that has been given in Official Baha'i Scripture. There is also unofficial notes that contain much to think about. If these are posted then it will be noted that they are only a personal view.
