What will be an atheist's answer ?

Oh my, did I say that!

How come you have so strong will ? :)
Probably living on my own for so long, and doing so many things on my own even if I have done just as much with friends too. Such that one does tend to have self-reliance and confidence from such experiences - and as to which I have commented before. That having autonomy should be an aim for all even if having friends and partners in life might enable more happiness as to life. Not that this then makes me sure of any beliefs, but that I can deal with the things I don't know or could never know.

What do you mean by "low expectation" ? can you please elaborate.

Just thinking hypothetically, based on observations and experiences in this life. If there is an afterlife, and if it's any reflection of this life, then I wouldn't expect it to be much.

Sad is reaping the bad harvest sown in the past.

Are you suggesting that bad things never happen to good people? Is it always the case where, if someone is sad, they must have done something bad?

Both theist and atheist were the victim of poverty in life. Somebody asked:

Hey theist why are you sad ?
Theist's answer: Sad because God has not provided me enough money in my life.

Hey atheist are you also sad because God has not given you enough money in your life ? or its your own faliure ? or something else ?
What will be an atheist's answer ?
I don't know, but my response would be me wondering why my offerings and worship to Freyr failed so badly. Lol.

What a strange question to ask. And what an even stranger response from the hypothetical theist.

I'ld imagine that over here in reality, the actual answer would depend on the circumstances of the person in question and why that person ended up in poverty...........

Maybe his wife divorced him and ruined him.
Maybe his company went bankrupt.
Maybe he has no education and can't find a job.
Maybe he has health issues and can't hold on to a job.
Maybe he took some bad financial advice and lost everything.
Maybe he has a gambling problem.

....

I'ld expect his / her answer to the question would be entirely depended on the specifics of the situation.
I think blaming some god would be incredibly lazy and would also show an insane amount or irresponsible thinking.

The word "Afterlife" is the combination of two words After+life.
Yes, there's afterlife but its not life. Its silence forever.

No one is 100% good in this world. This world came into existence because of Bad. The root cause of this world coming into existence is Bad.

An atheist wouldn't be sad because god has not given any money because atheists don't believe in god.

So, the world came into existence because of Bad? This would suggest that Bad existed prior to the existence of this world. And whatever this "Bad" thing is, somehow it caused the world we live in to come into existence.

Perhaps our world is the universe's equivalent of the "Island of Misfit Toys." If God can be perceived as something akin to a great scientist creating the universe, then our world might be an "experiment that failed," and we're just kind of stuck here in some isolated corner of the universe. That is, if our world came into being by something Bad. If God is all Good, then any "Bad" that occurs must be unintentional or some kind of mistake. Or maybe a "happy accident." :)

Do they sell God lottery tickets at church?

Some churches have raffles and bingo games. I remember my grandmother telling me about a dentist who won a raffle at her church. He was already pretty wealthy, so he just donated all his winnings back to the church.

Yes, you are right.

Mystery is that In the beginning/before separation we were one with God.

So who is responsible for the Bad root-cause?
We along with God / Oneness is responsible.

And, we are Not stuck. There’s a way back home, if required. :)

I do not see how a person who is truly devoted to God should care about whether he/she is wealthy or poor.

He who hates no being,
Friendly and compassionate,
Free from attachment to possessions,
Free from egotism,
Indifferent to pain and pleasure,
Patient,
The yogin who is always contented
and balanced in mind,
Who is self-controlled,
and whose conviction is firm,
Whose mind and intellect are
Fixed on Me,
And who is devoted to Me,
Is dear to Me.
He from whom the world does not shrink,
And who does not shrink from the world,
Who is freed from joy, envy,
fear, and distress,
Is dear to Me.

From the Gita. But I think most theist views converge on this point.

It is really this issue that not all who call on God are already so devoted to God. With devotion to God there would be real seeking of God's will, even God's higher will, and being obedient where it involves us, with there being what shows from that. It does not exclude compassion to any.
