I've never had a facial either. God knows I need face improvement. I've never had a massage either. Physio, sure, acupuncture, sure.

I haven't had acupuncture. I've always found that a bit off. I think changing my diet more will help with clearing my face but I hope the facial isn't an overrated experience.

Just sit down to a few pints and some comforting pub food with friends I've been missing terribly. That would be the best.

Oh, and hugging my best friend's kids, who I love completely (4 and 8 years old).

Good question. I know what I'll do but not in what order:

hug friends
schedule a massage appointment
go out to eat with friends
loudly play a recording of "happy days are here again"
scream with joy

My mother told me about the VE day party that lasted for a week. This won't quite be like that.

We (Alberta, Canada) get compared to you guys. Our vaccine program starts next week. We're in deep here, too little too late.
Really? Is that a good or bad thing lol
I’m not entirely sure when ours does. I think the doofuses in charge are “weighing up the offers” still. Could be wrong. Maybe they’re genuinely waiting to see which ones work so they don’t have to spend money on mass hospital visits

It's a good thing here as the alternative is the army and body bags. Can't be much worse that that. You guys will have the benefit of time to see which vaccines are more effective. We're your guinea pigs.

1. Get dressed up and go to a nice restaurant.

2. Get together with a new love interest.

3. Get on an airplane and go *anywhere*.

4. Invite a friend over for a massage (I give good ones).

Mask, or masks? I'll appreciate seeing smiles, rather than guessing if the smile is even there. It's weird telling a joke or being friendly, but not seeing the smile. Yes sometimes you can see it in the eyes, but that's too much effort.

Y'all need to work in customer service and learn to smile with your eyes.

There won't be too much for change for me. I was a shut in before, and I'll probably be a shut in after.

The oldest will be happy to return to school(the younger one will remain in homeschool). It would be nice to go to a restaurant again, and not have to worry about dishes. Wish I could say I'd enjoy going back to the gym, but we used our gym money to get the internet, so that's that. Can't afford both.

Small conveniences will be nice, like being able to take a kid into a store if absolutely necessary(we haven't allowed the kids in public; our state doesn't have much of a mask mandate), and the kids being able to do their speech therapy in person rather than zoom.

Ahh. The news seems to think the UK are our Guinea Pigs. But maybe cross evaluation is happening lol

Which way to the woods?
Once this Covid thing is subdued, and you feel safe to do the things you used to do, what is the first thing that comes to mind, in celebration.
Boss and I will head out on a 10 day road trip to somewhere.
Go walk in the woods! Oh wait.... Walk in some woods in a different state. Yay!

My husband and I had to cancel our 50th wedding anniversary celebration last June. We were supposed to spend it in my favorite city in the world -- Venice, Italy. We're hoping that sometime later this coming summer, we'll be able to take that trip. We obviously won't go unless we've been vaccinated, and unless Italy is deemed safe for tourists.

We started walking in the woods in our city about 3 months back, once a week. Amazing places I never knew existed. We plan to keep doing that after Covid. The city has a central valley with many ravines running into it, and almost all of them are treed, with trails. In the middle of the city it feels like you're not in the city.

Sounds romantic ... even after 50 years, lol. We want to do Ireland. Does hubby drive in Italy? Some of those coastal drives look gorgeous.
