About one hundred and twenty followers of Christ (Acts 1:15) were present (at Pentecost), including the Twelve Apostles (Matthias was Judas's replacement) (Acts 1:13, 26), Jesus's mother Mary, other female disciples and his brothers (Acts 1:14). Wikipedia
Acts 1:13 "...And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room, where they were staying, both Peter and John, and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
Acts 1:14 "All these were
steadfastly continuing with one accord in prayer, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Acts 1:15 "...And in these days, Peter having stood up in the midst of the brothers, and the number of names was about a hundred twenty together..."
How many days were the apostles in the upper room?
They went to the upper room they had been using as a meeting place: What was going on in that upper room during the ten days they waited. Scripture tells us that they studied scripture and as they studied, they became of one accord in prayer and supplication.May 24, 2020

10 Days in the Upper Room - A Memorial Day Message - AWS
Acts 2:1-4 "...And during the arriving of the day of Pentecost, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound like a violent rushing wind came out of heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them dividing tongues as of fire and sat upon each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit was giving to them to utter forth.
The Bible doesn't specify how long the disciples were in the upper room on the Day of Pentecost, but it does say that they were all together in one place when the Holy Spirit came upon them. The Bible describes the event as follows:
"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting".
"About one hundred and twenty followers of Christ (Acts 1:15) were present, including the Twelve Apostles (Matthias was Judas's replacement) (Acts 1:13, 26), Jesus's mother Mary, other female disciples and his brothers (Acts 1:14)".
The upper room is also mentioned in other Bible passages, including:
John 20:19-29: The disciples lock themselves in the room on the evening of a Sunday after Jesus's death, and Jesus appears to them.
Matthew 26:1–29
Mark 14:12–25
Luke 22:7–20
John 13:1–38
What Happened in the Upper Room When Jesus Told His Disciples to Receive the ...
Preparing the Passover
And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they were to sacrifice the Passover lamb, His disciples say to Him, “Where do You desire that, having gone, we should prepare that You may eat the Passover?”
Mark 14:12-14 "...And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they were to sacrifice the Passover lamb, His disciples say to Him, 'Where do You desire that, having gone, we should prepare that You may eat the Passover?'
And He sends forth two of His disciples and says to them, 'Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him. And wherever he might enter, say to the master of the house that the Teacher says, ‘Where is My guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’ And he will show you a large upper room, having been furnished and ready. And prepare for us there.”

John 20:21-23 "...Again Jesus said to them, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so also I am sending you.” When He had said this,
He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you withhold forgiveness from anyone, it is withheld.”
I did this study on Pentecost yesterday. Along with Jesus' special extra anointing at his baptism, this last passage of his appearing to his disciples in the upper room, plus Paul's conversion shows me your point that there were several Pentecosts.
So true, and to me there are several Pentecosts in the bible.
...we become transformed and become again transfigured through the ...Power of The Divine Will of The Creator, God, The Father.
It occurred to me this morning during my (mostly) silent communion with the Father (I tend to spend more time thinking than watching/waiting) that where-as this Transformation and Transfiguration is our own
personal receiving of the Father's Divine Nature drop by drop with each earnest prayer session and leading to our own personal spiritual growth, gifts and light, that the Pentecostal experience is quite a different thing.
1) it was commanded to the disciples personally (power will come upon you from on high)
2) there was a whooshing sound in the room (or in their bodies) and light hovered
above them.
3) I feel that these may be instances of trance mediumship for the purpose of temporarily channeling Godly spirits for preaching.
4) The disciples were already developed in their anointing from the Father from meditating ("watching") with Jesus, so they would be in the proper rapport to channel
only anointed spirits.
In trance mediumship (the person's spirit temporarily leaves his body (out of body experience, "death"), while another spirit uses the body to communicate with us mortals. A Godly trance medium is a Prophet, and not just a psychic.
Romans 12:1 "...Present your bodies a living sacrifice..."
1 Corinthians 15:31 "...I die daily..."
1 Corinthians 14:18 "... I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you..."
The Godly purpose of "speaking in tongues" would be to teach foreigners in their own language.
Jesus' current chosen instrument, was well developed in the Divine Nature before he was asked to be a medium for Jesus and his disciples. But after many years of delivering their messages to us, he was still chided that, "This one feels that he can take these messages and then go back to his chores and not work on his own spiritual development."
I think I'd better wait to be
called to a Pentecostal experience and, in the meantime, work on my own spiritual development. I might rather be a teacher than a prophet.
So far, Jesus has only commanded me to Love everyone with God's Love, and to let my Light shine.
Love and blessings...
