What would happen if

What would happen if religious people just stopped answering negative/over critical OP about their faith?

What if religious people didn't care what others said about their negativity toward religious scriptures?

I don't answer negative OPs about my faith, and I couldn't care less what people think of my scriptures.

I'm pretty balanced most of the time, unless I'm fasting.

Seems like you answered your own question, with the second paragraph being more a then than an if, imo.

I also think you could fit any trait here:
What if [religious, irreligious, furries, gamers, nerds, neurodivergent, LGBT, introverts, extroverts, nationality, political affiliation] people just stopped answering negative/over critical OP about their [trait]?

Then they wouldn't care what others said about their negativity toward [trait].

Though myself I don't feel like negativity is the same as overly critical. But each trait will have to sift through what constitutes reasonable and unreasonable criticism and make their own judgements.

What would happen if religious people actually made an effort to honestly and rationally consider the questions that are put to them about the things they claim to believe, that often appear to conflict with reality? Or at least try to answer why that appearance of conflict is there?

I would suspect a genetically modified airborne virus had Cas-9 CRISPR gene edited everybody's SLC18A2 gene so as to inhibit everyone from exhibiting neurotransmission of their vesicular monoamine transporter 2.

I think people are free to critique and be ignorant toward religious beliefs, but that means religious people are also free to give a **** about what critique are given toward them :)

I agree, but I also am learning to pick my battles. Otherwise you just get forever looped into the same going-nowhere exchanges. Insert quote about the definition of insanity.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
With truth claims a lot of people by nature become critical of such claims. That's not the same as being insulting, or derogatory.

I'm not saying that there are not any derogatory remarks, or insulting attitudes here on the forum. I think most people in opposition here are critical by nature. Some others come across as overbearing, and egotistical.

RF is more about exploring religion than it is a safe haven for like minded, same faith believers.

Of course the debate sections are set up for opposition. Funny thing though I see quite a few non religious people in the interfaith discussion section. Don't know why that is.
