What would the world be like...

More peaceful, less fearful, but certainly not as exciting.

EDIT: At first, I wanted to respond in the fashion of Lunamoth, but I rethought it and cannot reconcile how everyone could be labeled a mystic.

Well, my book on Zen Buddhism mentions that everyone is already enlightened, it's just a matter of realizing it (making it real).

So you may both be right. :)

Then nobody would be a mystic.

Kind of agree with this. If everyone viewed the world and the intricacies of it in the same fashion then it would become the normal accepted thing. Therefore, no one would be a mystic anymore. There would be nothing left to be considered mystical if everyone knew how to access it.

Would you trade it, and perhaps the excitement of life for peace on Earth?

Why would excitement be out the window? I'm not saying that if we alll viewed the world in such a fashion that it would be a bad thing. I'm just saying that logically, if everyone thinks this way, then it isn't really "mystical" anymore. The person who believes this way has nothing that sets them aside from everyone else as being a mystic. It's a word thing.

Also, just because everyone would be a mystic doesn't mean there wouldn't be disagreements or arguments. Mystical experiences differ for all people who recognize them as what they are. Therefore, not all experiences or "messages" are the exact same. As long as the human brain can differ from person to person and we all have the ability for internal reasoning and contemplation, we are all going to get different things out of what is presented to us.

All Christians, all Muslims, and the entirety of other religions can't agree within themselves as to what truth or peace is or is achieved from. I just can't see it being any different for those considering themselves mystics.
