What would you do?

A person who has just been extremely rude to you, for no reason, drops their wallet without noticing. What would you do?

I would give it back to them, just so I could see the gratitude and the silliness they must be feeling.

I would say to the person "You dropped your wallet" hand it to them and turn and walk away...to me this would give the glory in the act to God where it belongs!:jiggy:

I would do the same. Perhaps their embarrassment at receiving a kindness from someone they'd wronged would make them a bit more considerate of others in the future.

I would pick it up, rearange credit cards, pictures, ect., and then turn it in at the lost in found at someplace, with a note in it that says "your lucky I found this first."

I would probably pick it up, put it behind my back, whip it out like magic and hand it to him. That would be cool.

He'd be all like "Whoa! You made my wallet appear all magic-like! Dude!"

Le plongeur avec attitude...
Matthew 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. NIV

This seems to suggest that contrary to my mother's claim about cleanliness, that FORGIVENESS is next to Godliness.

Romans 12: 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
NIV

Paul unfortunately forgot the wallet scenario here, but I think we could safely extrapolate to include it's return without any undue harassment.

Oh, man. As embarrassed as I am to admit it, that's exactly what I'd do and I'd do it for exactly the same reason. :eek:
