Christmas is about family, togetherness, good will towards man, and for Christians the birth of Christ.:162:

But besides all that, Christmas is about one other thing....presents!! :woohoo: Now I'm sure that the greatest present we all got was our health, our family, yadda yadda yadda....but besides those presents, what did everyone get?

I got 2 new buddha statues. One big one, about a foot hight, and another medium sized hotei. Their great, the big one is now the center piece in my altar. I also got these chinese dragon candle holders from the 1800's. Some agate book ends, spiderman 2, the star wars dvd box set, some wolf kitchen towels, maroon 5, franz ferdinand, the new harry potter soundtrack, a zen meditation cd, some feng shui votive candles, incense, some more candles, and some money. I think that is it. I don't get much.

I have no family and don't celebrate Christmas, but someone dressed as Santa came through the ER in the wee hours of Christmas morning and left a pile of hard candies on my desk.

I got a new fit, a pull-over sweater, a Japanese wall plaque, one of those things that makes sounds like thunder/rain forest ect. to help you sleep with a fountain, two book store gift cards, cologne, and money.

Wow everyone got really cool pressies! I got the new Cradle of Filth album (now the only album I own), the entire 3 series of Family Guy on DVD coz they don't show it in England , loads of books (including some rather interesting ones on Wicca and witchcraft) and some of the coolest clothes ever from www.spiraldirect.com

mrscarrdero gave me a drawing table that came with a lamp, a swivel chair and a tray that connects to the left side of the table for my art supplies. There is also a ball and chain included with this desk but I haven't figured out what it is used for yet. She also bought me a giant pencil with a giant eraser at the end. Her theory is that once I have exhausted my imagination with this pencil she will buy me another, I can't even begin to understand how to sharpen it, let alone hold it. The meaning of the gift? I guess mrscarrdero believes that through hard work and good working habits that I may someday get my own comic book off the ground and finally apply myself to a job that I enjoy.

This may or may not be in the instuction guide but just remember to turn the fountain off before you go to bed or your dreams may decide to wake you for unscheduled visits to the bathroom throughout the night.

I got a $20 gift card for Wal-Mart and used that plus a few shopping dollars to get myself my favorite perfumes (Cucumber Melon and Plumeria) and something that I needed. When my hubby got home Christmas Eve I made him go to Hollywood Video and we bought ourselves and our 4 year old some DVD's (Harry Potter and The Prizoner of Azkaban, I-Robot, Shrek 2, Walking Tall, and The Punisher) We rented 3 movies and had pizza for dinner. I also received a small bottle of a drink called Hot Sex, a couple of rain scented candles, and 3 bottles of bubble bath.

My 4 year old made out very well with the help of our local Salvation Army and an organization called Arctic League that give presents each year for the families in my town. This was the first time in 5 years that I needed them but I am glad that they are available. So that was also a gift for me by making sure my daughter had a great Christmas in spite of our financial situation.

My whole family chipped in. I'm getting a cheap refurbished computer. They found one for about $200 and they all chipped in. When I get it, and I've installed the system I want...I'll be able to see pictures! I think they got tired of my having an old, old, old, old computer lol.

Besides that, I got a t-shirt and a Loeb copy of the first 65 letters of Seneca's "Moral Epistles." That may well be my favorite out of the bunch.

I got carrdero an art desk so that he can work on his comic book.
I also got him a pencil that will hold him for awhile. I told him to hold
it with two hands but he doesn't want to listen to me. I tried holding it
and I needed to hold it with two hands. I am 5' 1" Can you
imagine the size of this pencil next to me? :bonk:
