Whats the best ways to celebrate Independence Day?

Let tiny, highly combustible mixed compounds be free from their bindings and fetters, and glow in their violent revolution and burn up the skies with their freedom.
May all wonder and awe at their bright declaration of independence, and feast on charred meat betwixt loaves of bread, their sausages and brews.

And may none get a wink of sleep as the free compounds roar through the neighborhood, released to the dim hour of morning by those children yonder unwatched by parents.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Fireworks? Family? Sining the national anthem?
I do like the verse inscribed on the Liberty Bill.
Leviticus: Proclaim Liberty
Hard to celebrate when there is far less independence to enjoy than was in the past.

I still feel there is something to celebrate as compared to far more oppressive countries that are out there that don't have the level of Independence as we do. That and thoughts on those who lost their lives defending this country seems most appros for me.

Independently. I'm going to spend it hiding from the rest of the world, including this place.

Stay home cut the grass, weed the garden harvest what the bugs and predators have not taken. Then watch the fireworks on TV. Avoid becoming a holiday statistic.

Just another day. Going to be around 101 degrees and I'm done with outside work at 7AM

Best way to celebrate the fourth? Beer, hot dogs, beer, apple pie, beer, fireworks, beer. Actually, that's the best way to celebrate any day.

At Chez Ymir we go with a nice power grouping of sever tactical nuclear weapons, nothing too fancy.

Independence day is as political or patriotic to me as Christmas is religious, so we like to take every opportunity to have a nice time as a family and engage in some fun, but harmless traditions and socializing. My 3 year old loved dancing to the band who played and was ecstatic over the fireworks show. We got her these little noise-canceling headphones for her ears. It was adorable and we had a great day.
