Whats the worst job you ever had?

Mine was door to door double glazing sales, and yes, I almost got murdered quite a few times.

I've done the door-to-door sales thing also. I can't say it was my worst job, although there were days I would have said otherwise. My worst job was probably working at a car dealership. Too many a**holes in one place.

Working overnight at a PMIC (psychiatric mental institution for children). It would have been bad enough if the place had actually been run well, but this one was so full of people playing politics and what-not that they could barely find the time to try to help the kids that were in their care.

I would have said the telemarketing job, but I enjoyed the people I was working with.

Two telemarketers ?

I hate doing that , but it is the only way to get rid of some . And yes , I always say that I'm not interested first . But you people are pure evil ! :D

Not so much a job as a punishment.
When I was in army training some of us Had to clean the cobble stones leading into camp with a tooth brush.

Pointless, degrading, and punishing to the bare knees.
But that is the army mentality anyway.

Any form of labor that takes away from realizing my stronger abilities.

Door to door door salesman :bonk:

I would walk up to the door, knock & realise they already had one so what was the point.

I would just like to point out I never had that job!

I've only ever had two jobs, they were both in clothes shops, I love them, if only for the discount!

That's hilarious; I did this too! And yes, the worst job of my life. I'd rather clean barns (and have).

As a student, washinp up in a very large cafe. The worst part was clearing all the left over food on the plates, and getting rid of it in Massive circular bins - which used to get so full that we had to take it in turns to jump up and down inside the bins to make more room.:D

Snowbear, you have my admiration. I think I would never be able to do something like that.

And remember, Kreeden, telemarketers can't put you on their 'do not call' list if you just hang up or say 'not interested'. (Though that'd be nice if we could've.) Once you invoke/ mention the 'Do not call list', though, they have to. I know it's incredibly frustrating, but otherwise, you just get recycled back through their lists later.

I was going to post something about having to clean up spoiled milk and rotten eggs when I worked @ Winn-Dixie, but then I read SnowBear's post.:(

I pray for your strength. Other 'tough' jobs pale in comparison.:162:

What is it that you do for a living? I hope you keep a private journal to vent at times like these. Wow I imagine that would be close to impossible to do.

She has her ways of venting! Snow is a special lady and way worthy of our respect. I am proud that she is a moderator on ScubaBoard. There is no one that works harder, and you can be sure that she takes the same caring and dedication to her "real job" as a Captain Firefighter/Paramedic.

The only job that would be worthless for moi, would be one in which I didn't learn anything. To date, I have learned from everyone of my jobs. I started my stint as a paid mechanic when I was 12. I took a summer off to worth work the University of Florida's Ag Research and then off to college. In college I worked as an apprentice in the Chemistry Machine Shop and chilled for a year in a cryogenics lab. My part time job during my last year in college was working with campus food service. I worked for a Taylor Rental and went back to automotive, then worked full time for the University running a student machine & welding shop and structural testing laboratory. I did a stint managing a parts store then off to being a machinist and AC tech. It was back to automotive for many, many years with six months managing a parts store somewhere in there. Then I went to work as a Network Consultant where I opened NetDoc Inc, and finally I spend most of my time playing on the internet and running ScubaBoard with the help of MANY, MANY wonderful mods like Snowbear. I probably do more volunteering than I do actual work anymore. :D

It's all been good. I don't think I would change a thing or eliminate any experience.
