Whats wrong with mainstream ??

I've heard some talk about bands that have comercialize themselves. This talk has come from fans who say that the band has sold out and the music suffers because of it.
I can agree to a point. sometimes that does happen but there is alot of bands out there that grow popular and commercialize the music they play, but still maintain the originality.
My example would be Incubus. I was a fan before they became popular and am still a fan after the fact. I think the music they put out is awsome and continue's to be in spite of commercialism.
Anyone have any Bands that fit that description?
