Whats your image of satan?

Whats your image of satan?

For me he is a little boy that wanted to be like God. I always see that the angels are depicted as children so I see satan as a little scared boy. This is why the only thing that satan can do to us is to trick us. Do not be afraid of unusual things since it is satan's work most of the time to scare you out of your witts. If you can not think you can not fight satan.

Share your image and characteristics of satan the cowardice little boy spirit who never grew up!!!:D

Lets fight satan not each other!!! God Bless

My interpretation of Satan is quite different. Not in any way, do I see him as a scared little boy spirit...

Satan was a selfish, arrogant angel...

And I don't fear Satan at all. In fact, when you confess Christ...Satan fears YOU. When you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit...Satan has no power over you...at all. He can place obstacles before you but when you call upon the Lord...you'll remember that those obstacles...pain...worry...were already bought and paid for by precious blood.

He/It is possibly....

A. Something in people's heads.

B. One of many manifestations symbolically and psychologically of Fear & Hate, which exists in everyone.

C. An Angel with it's wings cut off who once ruled hell, but gave it up to go live on a beach resort.

D. The mental or spiritual embodiment of Rebellion. A figure akin to the Greek Prometheus.

E. A puppet of CTHULHU!

F. something else....?

Thanks for the thread GLU ;)

i don't really have a specific image of satan - i don't believe in the idea of a little man who exerts his will on people getting them to do evil or nasty things

In all seriousness, according to the Christian confession, Jesus triumphed over Satan by his resurrection from the dead. Satan is a defeated enemy, whether he is a concept or a "person."

George Bush is not Satan but an anti-Christ if he is anything.

I did find some incriminating photos of Shrub and his wife at http://www.bushisantichrist.com. More religious Bush-bashing sites: http://bushislord.com/; http://isbushantichrist.blogspot.com/. This is really fun!! :bounce

The South Park version is one of those really sympathetic characters that you really feel for. I hope he and Saddam have broken up for good, since that wasn't a healthy relationship for the dear.

Neither my religion or I really hold the concept of there being one being who embodies evil. (And some of us aren't even sure if there is such a thing as evil.) If there is, I think it might be whenever somebody or something delights in cruelty or suffering.

If anyone has the notion of theology/religion/spirituality right... then I hope it's Gaiman.

Have either (or both) of you read "At Death's Door", which is the story of Satan giving up 'the unholy throne', from Death's aspect? If you like Jill Thompson or the manga style, I highly recommend it! The spirituality aspect is also tackled. I've posted enough aspects of the Oldest Sister from the series, so here's the youngest, Delerium.

Really? Doesn't that mean the spiritually devout ought acknowledge "goth" as an immortal fashion?

:D I wouldn't mind. Though the "endless", including Death, can appear in any number of ways really. So, her Gothic appearance I don't think is something permenant. lol, I could be wrong I though, because I haven't read Sandman in a while.

Also I said Gaiman, and his works that touch upon Religion and Gods go beyond The Sandman. Such as his brilliant book, "American Gods" & now his new work "Anansi Boys".
