I love Chris Stapleton's voice, I loved his vocals with The SteelDrivers (I think The SteelDrivers were better with him). I'm not so wild about his solo work. Actually it's not entirely solo, he teams up with other artists. I added his discography to my Spotify library, and I gotta tell you, it all sounds pretty much the same, not much variation, lots of shredding, and a definite departure from CBGB. I'm pretty disappointed. Anyone else run into the same thing with artists they listen to?
