When I die, what's it all about?

Where does that current of energy come from? Babies have different personalities with little to no present life experiences.

i would guess our personalities come from our parents collectively and as we get older we develop our amygdala...

"the right brain is critical in early childhood development, and is dominant during the first three years of life, until the left brain has its growth spurt and becomes dominant as the child develops its language capabilities. The first few years are a right-brained wonderland between mother and child, as non-verbal communication is vital. The right brain's gift for emotional recognition and communication is well suited for mothering. The irritating nonsense words uttered by parents to their infant children during this stage are a product of the right brain. The right brain makes a mess out of the English language."

Babies are bornwith accents too. Why? Because they can hear voices and emotions from their mothers while in the womb.

You wouldn't know the babies accent well until they have been accustomed to hearing everyone's voices around them. Babies don't usually start talking until they are like 2 years old.

I'm talking personalities before they have seen anything that would influence their behaviours. Some people look at their baby doing things and wonder where the heck did he/she get that from? Also there are ways people just end up differently then how they are raised. You could be totally good to your kid and violent free and when they get older just have an inclination to be violent. It is developed and carried over from their past lives.

i would say it's being skeptical...
with reason, i may add.

It's fine being skeptical, but at least give it a chance before you straight out say it's BS. You will never know something to be true like saints do until you have walked the road that they walked. That is the point I'm trying to say.

They CRY with accents. Nothing I said was incorrect. Accents at birth are proven.

i have a 7 yr old son and i remember all he did was sleep for the 1st month, and children are sponges..they pick up more than we realize..the inflection of our voices and our touch. some are born with a sensitivity to pain, discomfort, light and sound...there are so many variables as to why a child shows a 'personality' at an early age, imo.

Some people look at their baby doing things and wonder where the heck did he/she get that from?

i would argue it's a trait that the child inherited from a grandparent.

some are born with an "abnormal" genetic make up i suppose...

how do you know he/she hasn't looked into it already?
what ever works for me is awesome...but i wouldn't expect it to work for everyone...

granted i would say calling it BS is a bit off the hook, but i would wonder why a person would have that opinion about it...
if they are inclined to be convinced by empirical evidence the metaphysical would be a nonstarter...to each his own

fair enough...
but i would add that certain POV's are attractive to certain types of people.

i agree it is better to be open minded, but i also think if someone doesn't agree with me then i would ask why. my background has given me certain insight and understanding because of my ability to be open minded, but again i know for certain that i am not open minded about everything...
i'm not perfect that's for sure...:D

You're not even making sense now. At least I try to prove what others say to be false for myself before I ignorantly put them down and brush off their statements as automatically false.

Don't sweat it. I never really expected you to understand.

Go back to sleep.

I simply bumped this old thread which was made over a year ago or there abouts, and all of this mess gets going.
Wish it was more meaningful than what I am seeing.
Oh well...

Some of this is true, but some children are born peaceful and some are born angry or sad. Some are born naturally happy and some are born with deficiencies. These things according to what I believe and what makes sense to me is based on how they lived their previous life and their personalities.

Inherited from genes? Genes don't dictate everything.

Again genetics only goes so far. Past experiences are what forms us, both before this life and in this present life. If we didn't live multiple lives there would be no meaning for life and would be pretty bleak to say the least imo.

I can tell when someone hasn't looked into it already. It also depends as to what end they look into it. If they try the meditation techniques after a while they WILL see a difference I guarantee it. Sure it might not be for everyone, but don't knock it until you try it.

It's either because they are so set in their beliefs they wont give anything else a chance or they are just to close minded to care. It's fine to ask for convincing evidence but I'm saying some evidence will not come from talking about things I'm bringing up. The evidence will come from action and practice.

True, but some POVs are false. People should continue to search for the truth regardless if they think what they believe is true.

Well noone is perfect unless you are a God send. It's why we are all on this planet. I agree it is better to be opened minded and ask why people do things instead of automatically condemning their actions without inquiry deeper then just talking to them.
