When ( not if ) humans are cloned, will they have souls?

I thought about this earlier and it freaked me out a little, because if they do have souls of their own, what happens to them?
Would they be like any other person after death, or would they float around like a lost radio wave?

I think they'd be like any other person. They might be physically like another person, but they'd have entirely different souls.

If they are alive they will have souls derived from God through their parentage, how ever obscure.(my belief)
All life returns to god on death (my belief)

Radio waves dont exatly wander around. they tend to radiate in a straight line unless acted upon/reflected.

"I Think I'm A Clone Now"

Isn't it strange
Feels like I'm lookin' in the mirror
What would people say
If only they knew that I was

Part of some geneticist's plan (plan-plan-plan)
Born to be a carbon copy man (man-man-man)
There in a petri dish late one night
They took a donor's body cell and fertilized a human egg and so I say

I think I'm a clone now
There's always two of me just a-hangin' around
I think I'm a clone now
'Cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down

Look at the way
We go out walking close together
I guess you could say
I'm really beside myself

I still remember how it began (gan-gan-gan)
They produced a carbon copy man (man-man-man)
Born in a science lab late one night
Without a mother or a father, just a test tube and a womb with a view

I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
There's always two of me just a-hangin' around
I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
'Cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down

I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
And I can stay at home while I'm out of town
I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
'Cause every pair of genes is a hand-me-down

Signing autographs for my fans
Come and meet the carbon copy man
Livin' in stereo, it's all right
Well I can be my own best friend and I can send myself for pizza so I say

I think I'm a clone now
Another one of me's always hangin' around
I think I'm a clone now
'Cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down

I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
I've been on Oprah Winfrey - I'm world renowned
I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
And every pair of genes is a hand-me-down

I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
That's my genetic twin always hangin' around
I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)
'Cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down

I think I'm a clone now (a clone now)

That's pretty deep NetDoc; I think you are right, thinking about it.

An interesting thought though; at what stage does a fetus have a soul ? when the egg is fertilized, when it starts dividing......:)

I dont know if God would give it a soul. I dont think this is a good thing in the eyes of God. I've read something along the lines of a baby being born without a soul to be a sign of the final day. I'm not saying that a clone of a human is what this sign is talking about, but I personally believe it is.

I must admit to feeling 'uneasy about the whole thing', but surely the stem cell growth must be comparable to Nature's way of 'divide & grow':)

Clones are just identical twins of the original person, and like a normal identical twin they would be a separate person with their own personality and soul (if you believe in that). They wouldn't be a thing, they would be a person like any other.

i don't believe anyone's soul is any different from anyone's elses other than the social conditioning it has undergone.

I agree with Halycon. Clones already happen in nature, to humans as well as other animals, so why treat artificial cloning any different?

Not to complain to Netdoc, but AZlyrics.com doesn't have a very high accuracy rate, especially on Korn songs. The last line is " 'Cause every pair of genes is a hand-me-down." I usually go to Darklyrics.com, but thats going off topic.

Im really not sure if a clone would have the soul of someone who is reincarnating, a free-roaming fimiliar type soul, or both. As of now, I can think of no reason to say one or the other. Clones will definitly have souls, but as to what kind, Im not sure.
