Where do you go on vacation?

The sea shore or lakeside? - the mountains? - visiting relatives? - stay at home and do special things (ball games, amusement parks, museums, etc.) - travel and sightseeing? or just sit in the hot tub like you do all year round?

The only "vacation" my family seems to ever do is camping. :( I go about once every 2-3 months, except during the winter. I'd love to be able to go to New York or something (ooh, even a foreign country, that would be cool!) but thus far have not. However, I don't regret the time I've spent camping; I go with my parents on some occassions and my cousins other times, and I always enjoy it.

I go to a clothing optional hot springs high up in the San Luiz valley of Colorado called "Valley View". If you ever get a chance to go there jump on it! The place is so beautiful, so peaceful, that more than one person I know considers the grounds of the springs to be sacred.

It's a family oriented hot springs, and though it's clothing optional, I've never encountered anyone there who was being lewd. Except on holidays, and some summer weekends, the springs are uncrowded.

We have a house on an island in Florida, which is near where my grandparents live down there, so when we have vacation time we usually go there. It's so peaceful and relaxing and about a 5 min. bike ride from the beach (not a good combination, lemme tell you! Last year I fell asleep on the beach for an hour and woke up totally fried!).....mmmmm, I could use a stay there right now, now that I think about it!

Ouch! For some reason that reminds me of a sunburn episode I witnessed. It happened when I went to that clothing optional hot springs I mentioned in my earlier post with a friend of mine. He opted to go entirely without clothing, as was his right. But he was new to the experience, and while he put sunblock on every other appropriate part of his body, he didn't know to put sunblock on a certain part of his body that is rarely exposed. Then he fell asleep face up in the sun. When he woke up, he had a severe sunburn where he never thought he'd ever have a sunburn. Not a very happy man!

I suspect that gives a skewed meaning to "where the sun don't shine"
