Where do you think you will go when you die?

I think that at best it will be purgatory for me and at worst it will be hell. That being said what is purgatory? I mean is it a nice version of hell? Personally I want to believe that I can be redeemed and enter heaven but I just don't think it's a possibility for me.

I am a student of a liberal and inclusive Christian denomination known as Unity. I do not believe in Hell. I believe that God loves us and cares for us much more than many of us can imagine.

That said, I believe that Heaven which will be a perfect place full of harmony, inclusivity, understanding, etc will be inevitable for us all. I do not know when Heaven will be a reality for everyone or if it is a reality for anyone yet. I believe that those who have already passed on have already gone to a much better place where they are immensely happy.

I also believe that God wants us to remain here on our home planet so that we can change it to be a much better, more understand, inclusive, and harmonious planet. I do know that one person can change the world!

Here is an example. Let us take the example of Jesus. According to the various historical resources we have (we don't have to exclude any of the Gnostic Gospels, any secular historical records, or any of the religious or spiritual documents that came from other religions and spiritual organizations.

Well, according to pretty much EVERYONE Jesus definitely existed. A lot of people say that Jesus brought about a HUGE amount of positive change to the world! Some say that he was vastly misinterpreted and I do believe that this is the case for some but definitely not all. Regardless, the fact is that the almost definite fact of Jesus' existence has changed the world ENORMOUSLY!

I believe that if a person can look within and think in a positive manner, they can come to the conclusion that the coming of Jesus to the world was an amazingly wonderful thing.

Of course there have been many people whom I would classify as similar or possibly the same as Jesus. In my opinion, Jesus was highly enlightened. I also believe that Siddhārtha Gautama, Buddha, was a highly enlightened person. Undoubtedly there are others including Moses, Abraham, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Bahá'u'lláh, Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh, and many others who were enlightened to a certain degree as well.

I believe that there have been some people throughout the world and history, possibly many, who have hijacked these enlightened leaders and turned them into something much less positive than they intended to be. In other words, there have been some who were misinterpreted and eventually became used as a figurehead for a violent organization that committed many atrocities against humanity for various reasons.

However, I have hope for the future because I believe that ultimately the Ultimate Good, which I believe to be God, will prevail and that there will be peace, harmony, inclusivity, individuality, diversity, and love between us all.

I do say this much. These are only my own opinions and I definitely may not be correct. I respect and understand the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I do not believe that any single opinion is the correct one when it comes to differences of opinion on a subject like this.

That said, I do wish you all the best and I hope that you all have a blessed day, night, evening, morning, or whatever it is for you. :) Amen.

first you get buried under ground or cremated if you wish, then you just sleep until Christ comes and then you will be judged according to what you've done. there is no purgatory.

Ecc 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where you go.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten.
6Their love, their hate
and their jealousy have long since vanished;
never again will they have a part
in anything that happens under the sun.

Heb 9:7 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

i do not believe there is anywhere else to go. death will simply bring about a more expanded focus of the experiences available to me in life.

I suppose I will turn to dust.
Maybe I will be born into another form and 49 days after I die my soul will be born into that being...
Heaven is a fairy tale, Hell is a fairy tale there are no ways to back them up.
Purgatory...How cute.
Just call it Earth please...

I don't believe in hell, and that's not because I'm afraid I would have gone to hell if it existed, but because I don't think that eternal punishment is right. And if God existed, God wouldn't be as cruel as humans. I think that death isn't the end. I think your spirit will stay alive.

Where i will go when i die? Which part of me?
My body will end up in the earth and over time it will end up being part of earth itself.

I dont know what will happen to my soul as i've never been dead before.
I like to think that i(my soul) will relive my life and learn what could have been different. And perhaps my soul will reunite with the original source.

But i just dont know and dont really care about it.

Honestly, 'do you know what i think?'

I, good sir have done much wrong, iv had fights, stolen chocolate bars,
and even had a look at what's on the internet!

But, that's in the distant past and i put in alot of effort to be rightious now.

You know what, i think im going to heaven if im good.

Do what the deepest inclinations of your heart tell you to do, if you so claim to believe in god, you'll find the final problem will be to forgive yourself, once you've done that, keep the faith, and personally i don't see a problem with that, looking at it through the eye of love.

I believe after I die I will forget that I was ever born in the first place and so much so that the state of not being born and the state of being dead are both subjectively identical. It does raise the question as to why I managed to be born to begin with, but I can explain that away as it is not possible to be aware of any state of one's non-existence from either not being born or being dead in spite of the fact that there is an exponential number of ways of not existing than existing. Maybe you switch to another brain somewhere else in the cosmos totally oblivious to any memory that you have already lived a life; sounds quite plausible to me.

One thing I completely reject in any belief in some kind of justice system which determines whether we go to heaven, hell or purgatory. I do not see the point in such concepts, especially in the overwhelming evidence that the memories of this life die along with this brain to the point as I stated that the state of not being born and being dead are both the same. So I think if you are sentenced to hell for some deed you did in this life then it would be more of an injustice system than and justice system. Especially if you cannot remember that deed.

I am just 30, there's an enough time to think about this.:)

If we go for the holidays for a week, we collect so many things like: credit cards, clothes etc...

What we are doing for where we are going forever.:)

Oh! just leave the topic, we are not that type of people who will die one day.:D:D:D

no one would go to a fiery "hell" there's no such place as a purgatory. it's like saying...God, you can't even make up your mind where one should go.Jehovah God does know where he places the dead. and who are you to judge yourself?...you can't say "it's not possible" for you? i'm not being mean, :)i'm simply saying you don't know how God feels about you, personally he loves you as well as myself and all humans. this was why he allowed his son to die in our behalf.

not all will go to Heaven anyway, even if God found favor in them. the bible clearly shows only a certain amount will go, (Rev.7:4 and Rev. 14:1-4). and it's not for all play as many wants to believe. but they have a job to do,(Rev.5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth).

i hope to ,(if i die),come back on a renew earth,(Zep.3:9 (Isa.35:5,6 (Isa. 65:21,22 and (Isa.11:6-9). only those God found favor, who didn't have the Heavenly calling will live on earth, (Psa. 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace). the wicked won't,(Pro. 2:22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it). peace!

I'll probably come back here, if not, probably one of the hell realms for awhile. Then back here. I'm not close enough to the goal of Nirvana yet to not have to come back to any of the realms of existence.

I believe their would be a natural and automatic anthropic retuning after death but hell! no way.
