Steve asked to be removed from RF, and his wish was granted. End of story.

In my opinion, which isn't really worth squat if it goes against the opinions of those in power on this board that did not like Steve, or did not want to have to keep handling other peoples problems over him, the posts about Steve are being deleted because the mere mention of him disturbs those that want to forget about him and do not want other members discussing someone they don't like.
The posts asking where he is, are a threat to those that want to forget him. A threat to those that do not believe in the principals of Free Speech, diversity, and acceptance of others differences. So much for the "supposed" guidelines that were the reason I joined this forum to begin with.
This forum has become someones personal version of a tyranny. I am ashameed that I have been a member of such a place for as long as I have because it goes against my morals and values. Participating in such activities is as bad as me refusing to provide help to someone just because they do not beleive in the same things I do.
Having said this, I will no longer be known as FyreBrigidIce, Proud Member of RF.
I wish everyone the best in life and with their chosen beliefs. I am happy for the friends I have made here and the learning I undergone while being a member.

FBI: No one had anything against Steve, even though he thought so... he asked to be banned and was, it was his decision. I don't see the problem here. As for moving threads asking about him... I'm not sure who made that decision, but I think it was the right one, because all it does it spread gossip. Like this thread, people are guessing at what happened when they weren't even involved and getting others upset. I think we need to just let this go. He decided to leave, no one forced him out.

I certenly never had a problem with him.
I had to remind him of this several times when he would get into one of his "all the Mod's hate me" funk.
Sadly he seemed to get into such funks often.

He came accross to me as being 'in need of praise' ir that makes sense; he almost seemed to be 'needing people to need him'. I don't know; I like Steve, I used to enjoy his posts - he did seem to want to talk on MSN a lot, but I never quite 'got to' what he was after.
I wish him well; I think he needs to understand himself a little better, and to be kinder to himself.

Look, I've spoken to Steve a bit in MSN since his leaving of RF (as I know FBI, Watcher and lookingformeaning, among others, also have). He has created his own forum, and he tells me that he is feeling a lot better about himself for not being here. Now, either he's lying through his teeth, or else others have a harder time letting this go than he does. Build a bridge and get over it, people! It's not like he's fallen off the face of the earth - he is readily available on MSN messenger, and his forum. Can we say storm in a bloody teacup?? Even he doesn't see what all this fuss is about.

The fuss was that until this thread, all others had been removed. My post above may have been harsh but I felt it was necessary.
Noone offered an outlet so that other members who were wondering where he was could undertand. All that was noticed was the posts asking about him were removed without an explanation.
I know that Steve is happy now. I was mainly upset at the way the situation was handled. Everytime someone asked the p[osts were removed. That is not the proper way to handle it, in my opinion. My above post may not have been the best way either but I was upset and extremely dissappointed at the way earlier questions were handled.
Maize, thank you for providing the answer to the question. If I may make a suggestion to avoid a situation like this in the future. If anyone that asks was not able to read this thread, please provide a link to this thread so that they will get the answers they are requesting. (not just you, other mods as well.)
I apologize for the tyranny reference. However, that is how I personally felt about posts being removed for the mere mentioning of someones name. I am sure that anyone that has asked about Steve was not trying to build a gossip train. I believe that when posts were removed without explanation is why a lot of specualtion occured for some people that have not spoken to Steve.
I know that Steve is happy now. I also know that he asked for his account to be deleted. Whether he asked for it to be banned I do not know. Nor will I assume that he didn't just because I was not told he did by him.
Thank you for reopening this thread so that we can finally have closure on this issue. I think it is beneficial not just to those that were wondering but also to help alleviate stress on the Admin and mods and to avoid any future speculations about it.
I also wish to apologize for my reference to those that I assumed did not like Steve. There are many great people here and I was unfair to everyone when I did that. I also was not practicing my own comment of accepting differences.
If it is ok I will remain as a member here because I do enjoy many of the other psots and things that I have learned from each of you.
Please know that I had the best of intentions with my previous post.
