Where's NetDoc hiding?

Netdoc has asked to be removed from the active roles citing a difference with the staff.

That is really a shame. Hopefully over time he will set-aside his differences of opinions. He was really a great poster on these boards.

I miss him dearly. He's not only a good poster, but a great friend! I wish whatever happened hadn't happened. RF is a better place with him here!

If anybody wants his e-mail address, just PM me. He posted it before he left. You may be able to still access it through a forum search, but if not, just let me know and I'll give it to you.

I'm actually not surprised he left. Having one's beliefs repeatedly attacked and being told they are false gets old. I haven't been here very long and do a lot more reading than posting, but already I've found it's especially frustrating when the powers that be are the ones doing it by twisting the scriptures and saying words to the effect of "you are wrong." Then when the tables are turned and those of other beliefs (especially atheism or LDS it seems) are told they are wrong, the posts are deleted and the poster is admonished. Or banned.

Beg your pardon, it is the principle of moderation that it has to be fair, unbiassed, and equitable. As a Christian, I would never allow my own beliefs to prejudice my way of deciding who is at fault in a ding dong - and I know I can speak for all the fellow mods, who bend over backwards to be unbiassed.;)

Specific incidents PMed to any member of the Admin staff would be appreciated and would go much further in resolving the situation than blanket statements attacking the entire staff that works very hard to make this an exciting, educational and fun environment for people of all beliefs and religions. Have we made mistakes? Yes. And guess what, we'll probably make more. Please excuse us for being human.

I can tell you that every member of the staff wants Religious Forums to be welcoming to all, engaging for those who wish scholarly debate and educational for those willing to learn. If I didn't think we strived to live up to that everyday, then I wouldn't be here.

Just for the record, NO ONE has ever been banned without due cause. Differing beliefs are not due cause.

Snowbear, I worry very much that anyone would think that we Mods are percieved as being biased in any shape or form. (Except, as Maize mentioned, to the point of us being human.) It might seem funny to some, but the moderators that aren't Christian tend to try to stop anyone's feelings from being hurt just as much as anyone else.

If anyone sees a post that they think is anti-whatever their religion is, please report it to us. (I can PM you with the details of how to report a post, if you'd like.) I would rather deal with 100 reports than have anyone feel that we're biased.
