Which kind of government is best?

What kind of government do you think is the best kind and why? Now make sure to be specific. Don't just say "Democracy" as there are different kinds of democracy(constitutional, representative). Also don't be afraid to make up your own idea for a government that you think would work

Think of panarchy as choosing what government you want to live under. I claimed it was idealist because you would still need an overarching support level that would resolve conflicts between associations (like mandating arbitration) and child protection.

The least government possible is none at all - pure raw anarchy. I'm not sure that's what you meant, but couldn't quite tell.

Ugh, I can't imagine a more difficult question.

One could say democracy, but democracy is easily dominated by misinformation.

One could say monarchy, but a monarch is easily obsessed with power.

The reason republics seem to work best is because, rather than being one government, it is many, that gives enough room for power shifts to occur. It ASSUMES a pendulum shift rather than resists it. Democracy can overrule totalitarianism, while educated, capable leaders direct the majority of governmental business by their own will.

A pure democracy is, in my opinion, one step away from anarchy. Government seems to be an exercise in restraint. It is built for the purpose of preventing chaos. However, the level of restraint must be monitored, because we value free will.

The evidence of Switzerland suggests that the purer the democracy the more stable the government.
I can't imagine many consider Switzerland an anarchist state.

There is no "best kind" because different forms of government suit different cultural groups.
For example, democracy doesn't work in tribalistic cultures such as those found in Africa and the Middle East, when you try to force democracy on those cultures you just get vote rigging and violence.

Switzerland hasn't been invaded or at war for a long, long time. Despite being situated in the middle of a continent that was the epi-centre of two world wars. If that is the product of weak will, then weak will is a wonderful thing.

It is ironic that anarchism is the exact opposite vision of the small government mantra employed by conservatives: no discrimination based on sexuality, no ability to stop abortions, no capitalist market. Seems to me "small government" is only used when convenient.

Exactly. Even with limited government, they still expect a puritanical society.

The best manager is one who makes himself DISPENSIBLE.
Similarly the best goverment would be that which can make itself DISPENSIBLE.
Meaning things should run on its own. Where supervision is not required.
But then life is CHAOS as you know and that is permanent. One has to find balance for himself in that chaos. Finally it boils down to individuals capacity to find the right balance in life.

Greetings
There is no best government and what we have on the media circus is nothing more than a joke mixed up with soap, more funny than anything else folks. I feel that if one looks at the both parties, and you follow the bouncing ball effect, you will find they are the same at the root.
Nothing ever really changes but on the face of it, just the same old music and talk and more rubbish. 21st century is here and what is needed is a whole new government no some bunch of grey haired yesterdays. A whole new approach to the troubling issues at hand.

If on the other hand I where to place myself it would be independent watching the other two parties squabble as usual.
