Which off all the jobs you've had was the most fun? Was that the best job you've had? Why was it so much fun? Would you do the same work again?

The job that was the most fun was database key operator. It was basically just organizing and keying data, but I got to design some databases too. Yes, I would do the same work again.

My favorite job was when I accepted a teaching position at a local college. I got a call one day, "Out of the blue". Apparently, unbeknown to me, one of my clients was already a teacher there and when a slot opened up he told them to "call this guy".

My classes were: Macromedia Director, Adobe Photoshop and Writing Ad Copy.

A lot of fun... even when students would ask questions I didn't know the answer to. (In my defense, Director and Photoshop are both such massive, complex programs it is difficult to be familiar with all aspects of the programs.) The writing class was a total blast.

It was so much fun because I got to work with fairly bright students who really made me push the envelope. Considering I came from a business background, I was able to couch my classes in terms that were translatable into real world tips and tricks that would help the students land a job with their new found knowledge. I really got into the idea that I was empowering these young people. SWEET!!!

Yes, I would do it again, in a heartbeat.

Well, groupie-ing wasn't exactly a paying gig, so I guess that one's off the list, haha.

I'd have to go with the couple of jobs I'm doing now. DJing and being a booking agent/show producer is so ridiculously fun I can't begin to explain it.

Was that the best job you've had?
The ones mentioned above. Nothing compares.

Why was it so much fun?
Why? Well for one, I stand in a DJ booth all night and make everyone at the bar listen to whatever the hell I feel like listening to :D 2) I get to deal with musicians, famous and local, on a daily basis and get paid for it. And 3) I put together concerts. How much more fun can you get?

Would you do the same work again?
I don't plan on ever stopping, if I don't have to.

I was a live sound engineer...my job took me up and down the country recording many fantastic bands while they played live concerts. I only did that for two years, but it was by far the most fun I've had in my life! I'm a people person and that job ensured that I met hundreds. Unfortunately, time was nagging me to slow down and mature. In the end, my life took off in a different direction. I miss it from time to time, but I do have some wonderful memories! I've become somewhat more 'tied down' than I was, but without those ties...I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I've really only had two jobs in my life, one working on the sales floor at OfficeMax (really sucky job) and one working second/night shift in a factory, but of those two jobs, the factory job was the most fun. It was fun because I worked with really awesome, blue-collar people. I got along with everybody and never got on anybody's bad side since I was a good worker. Sure, the actual work part sucked, but one of the people I often worked with was someone I went to high school with and we would joke around and give each other crap alot. The most fun night I had there was a night we only worked an eight hour shift and I was working with a guy named John and the girl I knew from high school and we had to downstack dutch ovens. Since the press was having problems, we had longer breaks inbetween coil changes, so we would joke around and on the cardboard on the table, we drew a really big picture of the factory burning down and a whole bunch of other cynical, work-related stuff. That was one of the most fun nights of my life. Ha ha. :D I kind of miss that job sometimes. Hopefully I can work there again this next summer...

Actually, I'm quite fond of my current job! I'm an Adminstrative Specialist for a non-profit. I love it.

I also liked my last job. I worked as an Administrative Assistant/Licensing Coordinator for a small hotel appraising firm. It was busy but I learned a lot about a appraising and the laws and regs that govern the "industry".

The best part of the job was the people I worked with and all the neato pictures I got to play with. My favorite hotel pics were of hotels in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Awesome!

My current job... CEO of www.ScubaBoard.com :D

I get to go diving on a regular basis to test new gear. Next test is week after next where I check two different emergency bail out systems.

I get to travel to far away locations just to dive and write about the different resorts. My next foray is on the "Dive Icon Tour" with Aquacat Cruises this January.

I get to go to parties thrown by ScubaBoardians and often these include MORE diving. Next one is this Saturday at Venice Beach diving for fossils.

I get to go to both industry as well as consumer shows where I get to rub elbows with Scuba Legends and Greats. Next one is week after next down in West Palm Beach, the Florida Dive Show.

Well, I really love what I do now (teaching) but sometimes it is not a lot of fun with federal regs, etc. I guess a close second would be when I was a bartender....not as fulfilling, but pretty light and happy.

My best job was working for a school district as a Network Consultant. I had a ton of fun and I really like the education sector.

It wasn't a "paying job", but the most fun, fulfilling time I've ever had working was when I was an assistant English teacher in a public school in Brazil for a couple months last year. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The kids were wild, but I adored them. I'm hoping I can get a permanent job doing similar work---and hopefully in Brazil again.

Tattooing was definitely the most fun job I ever had. I may get back into it someday...I dunno. I know I'd like to, but things aren't really working in that direction for me.

I've only had 2 paying jobs. The first was a couple of months working in what we affectionately called 'the spud train' - a mobile baked potato 'van' made up to look like a train engine. I worked late nights/early a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights to serve the pub crowds. It was always nuts when the pubs closed and all the drunks came looking for some hot food. :p But it was a lot of fun (and I got free spuds!). Probably more fun than the job I've had the last 10+ years at McDonalds, although that became more enjoyable last August when the McCafe section opened and it became my job to run that. Now I spend my days making coffees instead of burgers. I've come to enjoy the customer interaction, even though I'm quite the introvert normally.

My most enjoyable non-paying job was when I volunteered in my old high school library about a year and a half after I finished school. I really enjoyed that, and actually considered training to become a librarian.

In the army, I only worked 15 days a month. It was fun on being nightshift, as I could surf the net, watch cable tv, or sleep. Sometimes I was even sent home early. I only had to answer few phone calls at night. I was a switch operator for a commanding general at that time.

I like my current job. I'm a computer programmer/analyst for Union Pacific Railroad. It's good money and challenging. I have a great boss, who is also a personal friend (we travel together for fun) and I get to work from home in my jammies two days a week.

After my junior year in high school, I worked at a movie theatre. The pay was crap,
but my co-workers were a blast. There was a kickin' party just about every week, and working there was the only way to find out about them.

As for the work itself, this was back in the day when theatres had a lot fewer screens. Ours had 5, so once the movies started, we could chill until right before they ended.

On our off days, we would let each other in to see movies free even though we weren't supposed to. Statute of limitations...I can't be arrested for it now.:D

A close runner up was when I worked at a bowling alley. Friday night/Saturday morning after the place closed around 3 AM, we would bowl until the morning manager ran us out at 8 AM.

Of course I like my current profession of self employed jewlery designer best but, these two are close seconds.

After college I worked for an advertising agency as the office manager. It was very exciting, creative, busy and crazy fun but also the most stressful job I've ever had. The creative energy that flowed through that place was amazing and I adore that type of atmosphere. But, the deadlines were absolutely nuts. I cried more than once while I worked there from sheer frustration.

Immediately after college when I was a broke and starving graduate...I worked for a grocery store stocking the health and beauty aids section. The group of people who worked in the store were so much fun to work and party with. In the back room we'd make a human train and sing stupid songs....even the boss would join in. Then once a week we'd all meet up in Newport Beach to listen to our favorite band and drink White Russians and dance......ahhhhh, great times.

I would say the jobs I enjoyed the most were waitressing and bartending. I got fired from my waitressing job, though - I threw a plate of food at a woman. So hard it broke when it hit her face - but she was fine.

Bartending I quit because I didn't like the way my life was going.

But both were a lot of fun. Lots of interaction with people - and you get to become some sort of vague, localized celebrity. It's very addicting.

I was going to say the same thing about the interaction with people, although I'm a little embarassed to say that it's all I ever done.(waitress/bartending).
