Which Olympic Events Do You Find the Least Impressive

Off the top of my head, boxing, and the equestrian events.

In the last week or two there has been a huge controversy in the "horsemanship" world concerning a top trainer caught on video whipping a horse while laughing at it. If people treated other pets the way most people treat horses, they'd be arrested for animal cruelty. But for some reason (historical?), ancient, barbaric approaches to training horses are still predominant. And we have a mountain of evidence that demonstrates it's not necessary to use these cruel approaches.

I have not watched boxing for a while. They watered the sport down so much for a while that it was becoming a joke. Maybe they fixed that. And equestrian events have been the absolutely most worthless of all Olympic sports. The Olympics are ideally the sports of elite athletes. Not well trained horses. It is a "sport" for the rich and that also goes against the spirit of the Olympics.

I watched the horse video...I found that heartbreaking.

PS: I have never watched the Olympics...maybe just ten years ago or something.
But this one has been incredibly amusing.

I will have things to laugh about for the next six months. My friends and I love to laugh...

Usually when I find an olympic event underwhelming it is primarily because of my ignorance.

I just don't care anything about badminton, golf, baseball, softball or tennis. Hate me or think I'm ignorant, I don't care about that either.

I just found another one. Ten Meter Air Pistol shooting. Not that it does not take real skill to do this. But there is some rather extreme equipment used. A Turkish member of their two person team that won silver is a rarity. He did not use any:

That is the way to do it. Meanwhile most are like this:

They have glasses with flip down blinders to keep only one eye working, I can understand that. But please note the ear protection. I guess the sound of their competitors saying "Pew Pew!!" can be rather disconcerting.

Not all horsemanship is bad for the horses. I have ridden them and with proper knowledge and care, they love to do what they do.
