Which one would you prefer?

If you had to choose between two places on Earth, one hottest and the other coldest, which one would you choose? Which place would you choose to live in, for the rest of your life?

Lets start with the hottest place on Earth. The Ethiopian Desert. Here the temperature rises to a maximum 60 degree celcius (140 degrees fahrenheit).
Not only its super hot, but there are tribal wars, poverty, famine, polluted water which leads to cramps and bloody diarrhea etc.

=============

Now the Coldest place on Earth.
A Russian city named Yakutsk in eastern Siberia, where the temperature drops to a minimum -71 degree celcius (-96 degrees fahrenheit). There you have to keep the engines of your cars and trucks running the whole night while it is being parked or else the fuel will turn into ice.
Its so cold, that you can't wear any metal objects on your body like watches or eyeglasses with metal frames. The metal will stick to your flesh in a matter of seconds. And If you try to pull it off, your flesh will come off with it.

Choose any one of these places. :)

Probably go the coldest.

BUT, it does make me think that if god designed this planet for humans he didn't make a very good job of it.

The coldest, I can't stand heat, I hate the summer. :D

I will choose none of them. At my age I cannot tolerate that kind of cold, never did even in my youth. I am desert born. I would like to live near the sea around 30 North or South.

I live in Abu Dhabi (cap of UAE) and temp gets up to 50c sometimes...but AC is a must.

Quite happy where i am so I'll stay here. The extremes of around -10 (-20 min*) and +40c (+48 max*) can be unpleasant but the majority of the year. Yes.

* These are temperatures experienced in living memory of some local people but I've not experienced such extremes.

Use any and all pronouns including neo and it/it's
I'm considering not just the temp but also what the culture has. Seems that the coldest has more modern stuff. And there's at least clean water. Figure out how to deal with the temp you may be ok.

Well, its good to have variety in this world. Black and white, good and evil, hot and cold etc.
Atleast then the world won't become a boring place.
But within this variety, when the black overshadows the white, (i.e. when famines, poverty, diseases, etc. becomes too much in this world) so that healthy living conditions becomes a minority, then we begin to doubt God's benevolence.

I’ve lived in scorching places all my life- in south and southwest US- so I know the Mojave, the Sonoran and Chihuahuan Deserts very well. I used to compete in 120 degree weather and still sometimes work and exercise in it, so... I’d go with the hottest place on earth. It looks like the average temperature for most of the year ranges from slightly above 100 degrees to just around 120. That works out perfect for me. As for the rest of the issues, a few adjustments and it could be a nice place to live.

Here in Calcutta, the lowest temperature in winter is around 11 to 13 degree celcius, which is not enough to keep me cool and i end up sweating like a pig. lol. When im indoors i try to stay in my boxers. :D

You're tough. I would probably have a heart attack at 120 degree F. :D

I'll stay where I am, in New England, compared to many other states across the country we've got is pretty good. Maybe a few heavy snowstorms, once in a while a blizzard, but we miss most of the severe weather the rest of the country seems to have; hurricanes, tornados, few severe heat waves etc.

It can get to minus quiet a bit here in Denmark, but nothing crazy. But it rarely gets above 33-34 degrees celcius in the summer, but even that is to hot for me :D

BUT, it does make me think that if god designed this planet for humans he didn't make a very good job of it.

There was a time when the entire earth was just filled with water, there was no land. And also there was a time when there was land that it was all tropical. Scientists even find tropical plants in Antártica. Also the Bible record tells us that the water canopy above the earth fell during the flood, this canopy served to moderate the global climate. If you really think about it, if we were just a tiny bit closer to the sun it would be too hot, or just a little bit further away it would be too cold, or if the sun itself were not just the right size itself, and distance from the earth, there are so many factors…if we didn’t have an atmosphere to protect ourselves from radiation from space, the list is endless, it is amazing that all the conditions come together to make life just right for human habitation And there is no doubt all the earth will return to its paradise-like conditions it once had in the future under Jesus kingdom government.

Here is a good video on the subject:

One reason why those of us who live in a more temperate climate - in the UK, so some might be laughing at that - tend to be grateful, is simply because we don't tend to suffer the extremes - as to temperature and also as to other weather affects. I have experienced a reasonable range of temperatures (on my travels), and mostly I would go for the colder version, given that one is so often reliant on technology to keep one cool, whereas putting on more clothes might not. And sleeping in a country where the air-conditioning is often inadequate is a sure recipe for no sleep. Wouldn't like either of the options given though.
