In order of most affected to least affected:

1.Vanity
2. False Attachments
3. Greed
4. Lust
5. Anger

Lust and anger do not play a big part in my life. It takes a lot for me to get angry and it dissolves very quickly. I'm not very lusty, except in a clothing shop. I can be greedy, especially for food. Of course I have false attachments, we all do. And vanity is my greatest folly.

I don't know. Anger, maybe. I don't throw temper fits or anything, but I get really upset when I see children or animals being abused (or things of that nature)- I start to think that maybe the abuser should get the same treatment back at them until I remember I am supposed to pray for my enemies.

honestly speaking, none of these weighs heavy on me. because i've for years try to focus more on pleasing ,and praying to Jehovah God for my weaknesses. i try not to let the way's of the world,or personal things take control of me.

i try not to focus on anything that bring lust to my mine. i don't let human's get me to the point of letting anger control me. if i feel i'm about to get upset, i'll either leave the situation,or pray to God and find something spiritual to do. i've never been into greed or vanity. i don't understand what you meant by False-attachments. are you referring to another human,or an material thing. peace :)

None of the above. I don't feel any guilt over my actions. Should I?

Vanity. I place a lot of importance on physical beauty.

The least would be anger. I basically never get angry.

What's your secret? I hold a lot of anger from earlier times, and occasionally it spills out and hurts others. I don't like this aspect of myself (and I'm acutely aware of it), so I'm interested in how you manage to control situations that could provoke anger?

Errrr this is a tough one for me.

Anger? It's a unpleasant feeling but one I am able to control in public. :ignore: Vanity? I never look in the mirror and ask what a hot looking chick like me is doing in a trailer park? Lustful? As long as I keep it to myself, no one will ever know. Greed? Can't afford to be greedy. :( False attachments...well if someone forced me to give away my cats for instance, I would have little control over what would happen to that person...

I don't think I have a secret.

Usually when people do things I disapprove of, I feel sorry for them rather than feel angry towards them. I view their behavior as being unattractive and underdeveloped expressions of themselves.

Plus, anger is often a result of things getting in the way of what people desire. Controlling desire is kind of a short cut to reducing or eliminating anger.

Would you allow me to choose something not on the list? :)

My choice is 'Pride'.

That sort of anger is completely understandable and justifiable. It would be far more immoral and unhealthy to show an unfeeling indifference toward the suffering of innocents.

How would love for animals be a false attachment?

Oh that note, what exactly does "false attachment" mean?

I don't know. I suppose the reason I call it a "false attachment" is the way people generally in my society view animals. Animals are often seen more or less as possession than a family member. I've had neighbors use them as status symbols in their yards, pit pulls and doberman pinschers for instance. They leave them out for long periods of time without food or water. I got in trouble for sneaking in food for this neighbor's dog who was always out there all day without food or water whenever they'd go to work. I've had people tell me that I'm a nut or too sensative in both an offensive and non-offensive way. After working for only a couple of months in an animal shelter, I had to leave. It was getting to me. Everytime I'd go to bed I was trying to come up with ways to find each animal a home.

False attachments...maybe animals aren't a good one depending on one's perspective. My CDs and Ipod/music are objects I hold highly. I also use to be a compulsive hoarder. Parting with objects has always been a challenge for me. But I've gotten help for that problem...still hard from time to time though when I see a piece of paper, object or drawing that for some reason I can't get rid of.
