"Who is but the form following the function of what."

What I am is a human being. Who I am is a specific human being made up of many aspects that add up to my identity.

I don't know. Sri Ramana Maharshi taught to ask "who am I?", and that's what I do. I'll be looking for the answer for a long time.

The total spirit/soul/essence of any aspect of reality can never be communicated, it simply is what it is.

It's a bit strange to ask people who they consider themselves to be while telling them to erase certain factors from the criteria at the same time. Perhaps occupation is not an essential part of how you define yourself, but it is essential in my psychology and sentiments. In this case even my username tells some people a lot about me.
Personally I find some of the answers above to say nothing at all about the members who responded. 'Soul'? 'Spirit?' really? That's the most boring thing a person can say about themselves. Instead I want to hear about people's passions, interests, experiences in life etc. 'Soul' or 'Spirit' really tells me nothing, they might as well say 'I am a tiny screw in a well oiled mechanical machine', 'I am a single organism in a biological system'. I'm never stoned enough when I use the internet that these answers will mean anything
Give us something to relate to. Even if you are a soul living in a temporary physical body, your life can't possibly be that boring and meaningless that there is nothing to share about it.

"I" is a label of convenience for a Ship of Theseus, where its limits are based on a somewhat arbitrary distinction between things that are "part of me" and things that are "not part of me".

I am a personality energy essence, that is currently ensconced in a three dimensional framework, just like you. Unlike others, I view the physical personality and physical existence as being a wonderful workspace wherein all manner of interests can be pursued with gusto. The object of the exercise is to fully understand how thoughts and beliefs affect perception or experience.

It takes time, exposure, and interest to meaningfully learn who someone is. Any brief answer here doesn't tell you anything more significant than their name or occupation does.
