Hi Folks..
Interesting thread...
Actually - Id say - most people have no real clue as to who they are,in truth...Most people identify fully, with their immediate circumstances, and that defines them fully...The swap and change their self constantly, forget Who they are and allow the world to dominate and literally dicate their actions...
For instance - take the emotion of love - we can have the most all consuming emotinal bond fo rour spouse - but then they do something "wrong" and immediatly we forget that core of Self,
and react - often without thinking - and often in a totally contrary manner to our core intent..All too often love becomes hatred over nothing more than a few mis spoken words said in angry haste and forgetfulness..
We forget our Self all to easily - and that is becasue, sadly, most dont even Know their true Self to begin with..Consider for instance - the continual conversation in your mind - how do you
actually address your Self..?...
Do you think in terms of "I must" do this,go there,be that etc etc......Or do you think in terms of "You must" do this,go there,be that etc...Or even - do you think in terms of "we must" do this go there be that etc etc..?...
Do you see..?...How we address our Self in our own mind, gives a real big clue to how we actually perceive our valid nature...Thinking in terms of "i" individual self - is purely mortal, and this is not Who You are....Thinking in terms of "You" is likewise, individualised, seperate thinking mind - as if there are now "two" people each seperate from the other - and although this is indeed, how the mind works, with a definate divide and division (at first),but still, this divided mind,is not who we are either (indeed, this divided mind causes us
all our problems, especially the emotional kind)...
Thinking though in terms of "We" - shows that the mind is unified and whole - far mre authentic than just the surface mind, surface identity, continually changing and swapping..."We" thoughts, can be trusted fully - when the mind says "we must do " blank blank - then it pays us well to follow that prompt...Only a unified mind addresses it Self as "we" - and only a unified mind knows the axtual truth of Self..
Examine yourself - but dont be surpised to find you are currently a contrary Being - often swapping Self identity, and th e"bleifs" that go with it of ocurse, and in that process losing touch with the core and authentic Self, sometimes completly so..It is true that we are a "prgrammed Being" - the world out there wil dictate our tuth if we allow it - but underneath it all - found within a Silent empty mind - is a core, authentic Self that is fully beyond such mortal definitions, and always and fully realises the truth of its existance....As my mate Christ said - find that within you, bring it forth here and now - Know thy Self, become known and all the mysteries become likewise revealed...
