A virtual construct created by my brain.
The "I" is the brain itself but we create a virtual interface through which the brain experiences reality.
At the same time the brain creates a representation of itself toward which all these experiences are happening.
When we go to sleep or are otherwise unconscious that interface shuts down.
So I am basically a software app that the brain is running while it is conscious.

I'm a mass of confusing contradictions.
Sometimes those are the best kind... keeps us on our toes.

Tell me in terms that are meaningful for you, and in ways that match your own worldview or understanding.
There is no wrong answer.
That sounds very technical. I hope you come with a good user's manual!

It's Djehuty, Egyptian God of wisdom, writing, etc, drinking tea. Very Kemetic and very British at the same time. Djehuty is pictured with an ibis head.I liked your previous avatar but I also like your new avatar.
Can you explain what it is?
All I ever have for avatars are my cats, nothing creative.

Sadly, the users manual is still being written.
Estimated completion in the year 2050, which would mean I would have to live until I'm 109 years old to actually read it.

I have not yet seen a lot of it, but it's the joy of discovery that makes me alive.
God has blessed me far beyond what I deserve. I don't always appreciate that like I should.
I'm often caught in the middle between longing for the next adventure and trying to be content in the moment.
Eh... Yah, honestly I'm not a fan of my first name, either. It's very biblical, and it's definitely not Sigurd.
I don't know who I am, but I'm a good philosopher.Well, who are you?

Scribe of the GodsThat's awesome. I hadn't heard of Djehuty before.
I keep coming back to this question. Who I truly am is beyond age, beyond family, beyond gender and beyond my temporary thoughts and feelings about who I am.
Notable figures from the East, Ramana Maharshi and others have advocated serious internal questioning "who am I".
At this point all I can really say is I am the one who sees the value in questioning "who am I".
Yeah. I go by Grace. I dislike my first name.
