Who has seen the last Harry Potter movie?

I saw it last week, extra choose a cinema that shows movies in English because of Alan Rickman's voice. http://www.smileyparadies.de
I liked the movie, but I think Snape's story comes too short.
And there were not enough cloose-ups of AR (there can never be enough scenes or enough close-ups of AR).
Does someone know if, when I buy the DVD, I need those 3D glasses too?
I do not like that 3D thing much and would not want to wear glasses when viewing a movie at home.

I thought that it was wonderful. It's a Potter movie, and I appreciate the consistency between the movies.... a different consistency from the book, but consistent nonetheless.

I do wish that the last two movies were more faithful to the books - my only disappointment was there were a few details that I thought were very important that were cut out or changed.

Not a bad movie, but not a great one, either.

Of course I saw it!!
The Deathly Hallows P1&2 are the only that I consider better than the book. Most of the films were awful, imo, but I loved the books. Except book 7, but loved that movie(s).

I also thought Snape's story was too short considering how important a role he is. But I also understand why the left out so much. Overall, a really great film.

Yeah i saw it too, enjoyed it to be fair. Delivered pretty much what i wanted. The films have definitely been getting darker from beginning to end. Check out the Warner Bros. logo for each film. :p

We caught it. It somehow delivered less than I expected. I did watch it in 3d(the cinema that we went to displayed the 3d in a polarized projection, allowing one to see it in 2d or 3d, your choice).

I had to watch it in 3D, because my theatre only shows two movies at a time, and now only shows 3D movies. I despise 3D; it ruins the whole movie experience for me. Stupid glasses which are annoying, and they give me headaches and make my eyes hurt

After the first 5 films, I'm surprised you'd have any positive expectations. Unless you mean it was better than you expected :p
I liked them all actually, aside from the fourth and this last one. All the films were building to this climatic end. The climax of the final movie wasn't the one I was hoping for. It was the beginning of the Battle of Hogwarts. The climax I was hoping for was Harry vs. Voldemort.

I was also hoping Harry's "try for some remorse" speech would be left in and that Voldemort would leave a corpse...

I have to admit, I hardly remember the final novel, except for crucial moments, so I wasn't disappointed by things being left out. But I definitely thought the acting and cgi was decent, which i cannot say for the earlier films (which left out a lot of great parts of the books as well).

I heard they left the ending open for another one. What do you think?
-- Spoiler Alert --
They could re-boot the whole series based upon the progeny.
But that would run the risk of looking pretty darned derivative if it weren't innovative & very well done.
I'd guess we'll face a new Harry Potter series in no less than 20 years.

I suppose it is possible that films concerning the next generation could be created. But they would not be based on books.
