Who sets free all these black cats around Halloween?

Just last night I saw two different full-black cats roaming the town when I was out for my walk. This morning I saw another.

This seems to happen in every town that I've lived in these last few years, and it's always in October-November that I see them! I swear as soon as the leaves turn orange someone comes around with a van full of black cats and drops a few of them off in every town.

I see black cats all the time, 4 of our 5 are black. There's always black cats roaming around here.

If you see Lucky, tell him to put on some pants and go home!

Though, I swear he was there at feeding time half an hour ago...

No superstition here and black cats are, in some countries, lucky ;-)

My black cat's name is Lucky.

I didn't name him, though. He was a kitten that was found on the back of my roommate's stepfather's truck. His job was to travel rural areas and fix farm equipment. No telling where the little guy got on at.

That was about 12 years ago, though.

Reading that at first it seemed as though the kitten had a job fixing farm equipment.
