Who will be the Republican nominee for President of the United States?

It seems a safe bet that it will be "the one who favors the rich over the poor and middle class", since that description covers them all.

Trump will crush Cruz. Carson is a non-entity and Kasich has all the voter appeal of a paper plate. Meanwhile, I suspect that Jeb's demise will serve Rubio well.

As the option narrows to one of Trump v Rubio, the political machine will move heavily to promote the latter. Throughout this process Trump will prove himself to be ever more vulgar and erratic. The logic of all this is that Rubio will be the GOP nominee. Two things work against this conclusion ...

1. fear of a 3rd party Trump campaign and,

2. the fact that the terms 'logic' and 'republicans' should probably not be used together in the same paragraph.

Probably Trump, with his main competitor for the nomination being Cruz or Rubio. I'll reserve further judgement till tomorrow after the South Carolina primary...

Fine I'll put my neck out there.

Cruz is running a high-tech micro-targeting campaign that focusses on the individual voter, and produced the surge he had in Iowa. He didn't really use it in New Hampshire because he didn't have a chance there.

He's going all-out in South Carolina, and as such I predict a very high turnout from his supporters, and last-minute switchers from Trump who are having doubts about his ability to pick a new Supreme Court Justice, and his liberal past, resulting in a Cruz surge that puts him in a very strong 2nd tonight in South Carolina or dare I say it even beat Trump and beat the polls.

Trump appears to have a strong headwind and unless he really screws-the-pooch I don't see anyone overtaking him.

Well, Bush is out. It will take a miracle in Nevada to keep Carson and Kasich in the running.
So it looks like a battle between the populist juggernaut, the party elite favorite, and Cruz.
Think Cruz can pull that off? I don't. But who knows?

I think Rubio will beat him. Cruz I think is the "early guy" the religious right sends out as their guy, but doesn't cut it in the end because he has little appeal outside of the religious right. This year is somewhat odd, as there is the Trump issue, which definitely complicates things. So, it will be between Trump and Rubio. But, I do not think the party rank-and-file will allow Trump to represent them. He clearly doesn't support their ideas of "family values," he cares not about their religion, and nobody would ever take America seriously again. Political comedy would know a boundless harvest for a few years, but all I see with a Trump presidency is further obstructionism because he won't be able to control Republican Senators or Representatives. Bernie Sanders, who won't get much cooperation himself, would have even more allies than Trump would have.

The only thing I can say is that Trump is not a sure thing. It might be Trump, but I think there is more drama yet to come on the republican side. I think the race is going to get a lot closer.

I think it is going to get REAL exciting. If it comes down to Trump v Rubio, it will essentially the GOP establishment elite against the GOP base. That doesn't bode well for them come November.

Can't a president who does not uphold the constitution be impeached?
Under the assumption that such a thing will happen, none of the three will make it to office.
Trump openly wants to violate human rights.
Rubio says he puts God before anything else.
Cruz has a campaign geared towards the same people Rubio goes for, and they aren't really liking him.

Of course it is unlikely they would actually be removed from office, the USA isn't even considered a democracy anymore.
But, hey, I can hope.

What human rights would Trump violate?
