Why 2000 years ago?

Why would God send Jesus 2000 years ago instead of today, when we have video recording and the like? If Jesus came down now, todays version of St. Peter would take out his ipod and hit the record button when Jesus starts walking on water, or restoring someones ear, or curing paralyzed people and everything else of note that Jesus had done or said? Or, why not just send him again, seeing as he was resurrected? Then we would know that God is real and that Jesus was his son. Plus! Jesus could give us answers to all the questions we have, like...

"Did your dad really create a hell for most of us to go to?"
"Is your dad omnipotent?"
"Did life on earth evolve or was everything created?"
"Did God create this planet? And if so, why did he create a crust that moves around on a molten layer so that we get earthquakes and volcanoes?"
"Did God make all the diseases of this world?"
"Why does your dad not intervene when innocent people are tortured and killed?"
"Why does your dad hide himself?"
"Why doesn't God help us out more. Say, maybe getting involved in politics and giving us pointers on how better to govern our world? Or maybe getting rid of diseases so that so many of us won't die all the time from them? Or maybe clean our water? Or transform the world so that there are no more earthquakes and volcanoes? Or make the moon a habitable, pleasant place to live on?"

God neither lives our lives for us no uses us as puppets.

He clearly thinks that he has given us enough direct guidance for now. in Universe time 2000 years is very recent.

we are physical beings living on a living planet. The way it works and changes over time has made it fertile and suitable for the development of life.

In time our race may learn how to live with nature, it will never be able to control nature.
It may learn to live with itself, though it shown no sign of doing so.

we have been given the tools and the guidance, it is now down to us.
will he ever send any one else...? he could, he might, but will probably not be soon.
It will certainly not be before we show some effort in learning from previous lessons.

To fulfil a whole lot prophecy and typology.

When it hit Youtube, people would still say it was fake.

The Bible says He is coming back again.

John wrote approx 2000 years ago that the reason he wrote what he wrote was to show that Jesus was God's son.

The Bible already answers most of these questions. Even if it didn't, in what practical way would knowing the anwsers to those questions change the way you live your life?

:D Can you imagine Jesus meeting Lady Gaga? Lol. I think they'd get on pretty well.

Perhaps they needed him more then, humanity has progressed very well on our own since then.
