Why are the people on this forum older than the users of incel and neet forums ?

When comparing the userbase of this forum to the incel and neet forums I notice something and that is that the userbase here is predominantly older than the members of incel forums and neet forums and the userbase here seems more diverse too but why ?

I think there are some younger posters here, although it does seem the average age is probably a bit higher than other forums. It seems natural that people would gravitate towards others of a similar age group. They have to discuss and exchange tips on how to keep young whippersnappers off of their lawn.

I haven't checked in quite a while but I know that the median age of members was right around 24 for a long time.

I'm guessing the age is higher now since we still have a lot of members from back then and years have gone by.

It used to be easy to check these kinds of stats on Google. Not so much anymore.

Why? For the most obvious reason - the topics here are presumably different and people who stick here have a different focus than those who are upset at not getting sex.
Different focus I like that term that pretty much sums it up people are different because of there different focus on something.

Of course I am not saying that everyone here is middle aged or old but the reality now anyway is that most users here are 30 and over.

You have something against people who take enough care of themselves well enough to live to a decent age? Do you think it's better to shoot things up, like Incels seem to want to do, getting themselves killed (young) in the process? Or people deciding not to work strive to get better or learn something new so they can better their lives, rather than starve to death while still young?

I'm willing to bet your parents are over 30 years old, and possibly even your grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, city councillors, and any number of other people that impact your life. You seem to be implying there's something wrong with them living that long -- or maybe that after 30 they have nothing of interest to say.

The incel places might skew younger than your average board because people are more preoccupied with their sexual prowess and opportities when they are young (and male). People often become more well rounded and ineresting to others as they mature.

Youth unemployment tends to be higher, and people with the luxury of not working are more liekly to be young enough to have adults they can depend on financially.

RF is a sampling of people interested in some aspect of religious expression. As far as I can tell this is not a major aspect of youth culture.

That is all total guesswork.

Yes. You keep getting in my way at the grocery store.

I wasn't reading the OP as complaint. It doesn't look to me like it was intended that way.

Actually, I don't. It's the women who, when everything has been checked through, suddenly realize they'll need to pay for it, and then struggle with their purses to find out how to do it. I had my debit card in my hand before the first carrots hit the conveyor belt.

Hard to read what was intended -- but the disappointment that too many of us are too old for the poster is pretty obvious.

I had to look up "neet", only to realize that I am one and RF is a "neet forum" or is becoming one. With most of us retired or near retirement, it's only a matter of time.

Neet is colloquially used to refer to people still living at home and in this state.
It has a level of crossover with incels, would be my guess.

I would assume incel and neet forums skew a little younger and more male dominated than average.

At some point in their lives, many people disqualify themselves from being an incel or a neet. At this point, they are older than they were when being able to sensibly frequent incel and neet forums.
